17 pages about a guy who bought the wrong vehicle for his needs. I want Ford to fix my defective Ranger because it won't pull my 35 foot 5th wheel. I'm buying a Nissan instead for economic reasons!
I think it's more like Ford repoed his ranger and Nissan was the only place that would sell him a car

Interesting color.
I sure hope Nissan hits it out of the park with this one. Choices help the consumer.
It's a Nice Truck. I'ts equivalent to a Ranger, some differences, Front end is heavier, a bit, Due to combination of the bigger motor and Steel upper A-arms, but not bad. Responsive 3.8L direct injected. Ranger had a bit more torque, and 'Tossable' more. I'm getting used to the Frontier. I do like some of the little things on it better, But that's a personal choice. I didn't sell the Ranger to buy the Nissan. 6 month window, but as i complained, just couldn't deal with that bed height problem, again. Nissan is a Good alternative, If your seeking one.

Its the fight everyone likes.
Theres the dream to give the best zinger and put the OP in his place.
If I am not mistaken, R5G awards night is coming up and there are plenty of trophy's up for grabs this year for members. There's a few in this thread that may be worthy of a nomination.

I personally don't care what vehicle suits a person better, but if you're coming in here taking shots, you better be prepared to accept return fire. In all honesty, if the OP is here to troll us, he's doing it tactfully. Could be a lot worse.

Here we go.

The award winning zinger is locked and loaded.

Not sure if OP can recover from this but the internet is a brutal place.

TBH, he brought it upon himself by venturing onto a Ranger site to tell Ranger owners just how terrible Rangers are and they dumb, he smart because they have Rangers and he do not.

Ready?

He has a Frontier!!

I see one parked at the Homedepot all the time, i think he works there , I got pretty close the other day but couldn't get beside it , they look pretty close to me , can't imagine the Nissan is that much lower, probably be my second choice ,it looks pretty good , far better than previous years , and I belive they are holding on to the Supercabs...

I watched a video by this Canada guy. He did mention the wobble in the Ranger over the Frontier. He did give the ranger the favored edge - for himself that is. Some have different preferences. I see a lot of these videos where they do the head to head, and it's often one will chose one, and one will chose the other. I'd have to do more reading, but I think I'd take the Frontier over the Tacoma.

With the exception of the CVT Transmission Nissan has shown to be the better product over Toyota. People just keep going to Toyota instead thanks to how Toyota kept certain models to their roots(like the 4 Runner. Pathfinder didnt do so well).

Nissan owner having trouble reaching into the Ford Ranger truck bed ..
Buy some thick riser sole shoes...
Or buy a lowering kit... Or carry a step ladder... Or... Get a VW Bug ...and exit the Forum.

Platform shoes for the win!!! =D

Or use the truck to carry stuff! =p

I lowered my rake by about an inch the easy way:

Loaded it with leaves, left the tonneau open, it rained over night, and voila!

Obviously that rake is a design flaw that somehow made it into the wild.

Hmm, you're probably right. I wonder if a Nissan bow rake would be better designed? =D

Don't think it is a design flaw ..I have always believed that having the rear truck bed up higher than the front was correct... Thought it was purposed so when you added weight in the truck box... It would level out the suspension. See lots of Dodges... Chevys... over the years that are new with no rake in the suspension running around town... thinking that when they put 1000 pounds in the back... The nose of the truck will be aiming towards the sky looking stupid. That's one reason over the last 25 years I've owned F150's cause they had a little rake in the suspension that I thought looked better. Now then, the Ranger has too much rake with the rear sitting up too high I admit.
So as to not look like a stink bug... and now trending to not have your truck rear suspension sit up higher than the front .. a more sports car look... I get it ..
So I'm gonna install a fix in the front like everyone else. Except... not going 2.0-2.5 inches... Going 1.75 inches with the Ranger Rancho 1.75 In Level-It System from Stage 3... Hopefully... There is still a little down rake appearance left that makes me go faster... like the Triumph TR7 first advertised in the 1970's... "The Shape of Things to Come".

Ummm, I was referring to the actual leaf rake in the bed of the truck...
