Are you thinking of the train in Algo

If you’re talking about the train from Sault Ste. Marie to Algonquin Park, I think so. I hear it’s very scenic. Gary (@Swingpure) might know more about it. He’s quite a ways from the park and the route but it’s a regional thing, so he might know. Have you taken that historic train?
I haven’t been on that train. I have worked on the CN tracks all through Northern Ontario, so I have seen some amazing scenery, but not that particular stretch.

I tried mine out for just a few feet in a uncleared section with about 2 inches of refrozen snow. In 2-wheel it was no go, the tires just couldn't get on top of the ice imo. 4-wheel drive gave Zero F's and just drove right out.
side note
I only pay attention to short term forecast anymore, anything longer seems useless. If anyone had been listening to a weather forecast around here for the last 2 weeks, they would think there should be at least a foot of snow on the ground. Instead we have ice in the trees and a few inches of the white stuff. Every storm forecast anymore sound like its gonna be the worst weather we have ever seen?.

I poked around online a bit and found the Agawa Canyon Train out of The Soo - affected by COVID-19 but still operating. I thought it went to Algonquin, but it does not.

Then I saw your reply about it being a bucket list item and that made me think about the Polar Bear Express, which travels from outside of Timmons, Ontario to Moosonee, up on James Bay. I recall this service was recently reinstated so I’m sure I’m subsidizing it somehow.

There used to be a train to Algonquin Park from Toronto but I think that’s been replaced by buses - not on anyone’s bucket list.

Whichever train route you’re thinking of, I hope you get a chance to take it.

OK 24 degrees in Beaverton Oregon. We probably got 4" of ice and 6" of snow. I was just getting ready to unthaw my baby and test her out in the conditions. She worked great. The hard part was getting out of the driveway as it's an uphill slope and iced up pretty good. Stock tires and only 2000 miles on the odometer.

Same!
I’ve noticed that in the last few years, our local TV weather folks have been drooling like Pavlov’s dog whenever there’s the smallest possibility of a storm. It’s almost like weather became entertainment.

It's ridiculous, there's always about to be a snow event coming when you can use some common sense, stick your hand out and realize that if it's in the mid to upper 40s today, 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow is probably going to be 1 inch and isn't going to be more than slush once it melts all over the warm ground. And there's always a foot of snow a week out which somehow disappears. The 48 hour forecast is actually pretty reliable (except for the important difference between snow fall and snow accumulation), but they can't stop talking about the fantasy a week out.

6-8" overnight here nothing too out of the ordinary.

Had to rescue the plow a couple times while pushing the banks back over the edge. Damn thing is only 3wd so the one front tire digs in and it spins itself around into the bank when you back it up.

Tho I hate getting the salt on my truck I'm having a blast playing in the snow with my ranger while my winter beater decided to break a transfer case

Finally had the opportunity to see how the truck handles on crappy roads last night and this morning. Not gonna say this was the best or worst in the snow but I feel confident heading out in any weather to work. This morning it was drift busting out to the main road a couple miles away, didn’t have any issue. I did notice the keeping it in S to keep the R’s up was better, D has the transmission dropping too fast and bogging down. Also S mode is way more fun whilst having a little snow fun!!! Now it’s thawing out in the garage. Stay warm y’all!!

I’ve been some impressed with the Blizzacks I put on this truck before winter hit full on. My Subaru Forester was the best winter drive I’ve had in 50 years of Canadian winters, but this Ranger with the Blizzacks is good enough. Rarely had to use 4H. Big difference in snow from the stock Bridgestone Dueller ATs that came with the truck.
