worst thing about my ranger in the snow is when I try to practice my rally racing technique the stupid traction control kicks in an ruins all the fun. Not sure if I want to do my regular driving in the snow with it off though.

I'm so jealous of the orange marker lights in the headlights and side fender on the US version, the European version doesn't sport them. Cause orange marker lights were illegal when it was created.

Even though they're legal now, Ford has opted to keep running lights after the old style EU rules.

However it is kinda dangerous, cause the European version has no lights to the side at all. But oh well.

The US version looks awesome with its stock light setup, love it! Very jealous though.
Most people here want to get rid of them ?

1st photo is a satellite photo taken on Thursday. We may have received 100" since it started 1.5 weeks back. We reside on the large peninsula on the bottom right. The last photo is our dog who's on a bush roof in our yard.. Sorry that many of these photos are so gray, but its been snowing here.

I like that your dog is always out there with you. Looks to be really happy in the snow. :) :)

Wow - look at those streamers!

They really show how things change over the water and when they hit the shore, they shed snow - lots of it. And that’s the narrowest part of Lake Superior. Arly is a little further east where the system has more time to develop over the water and dump a lot more snow. Wow.

Well, not really. Lake snow only happens when there is enough open warm water, then cold air crosses it and pulls moisture out and warms up. Seems I read it was a minim of 70K of open water to create this effect.. When these cloud of moisture hits the shore, it must be lifted a certain minim elevation and in a set amount of miles in order for it to snow. Shores without a hill can't do this, and don't get lake snow. Lake moisture simply dissipates and the air temp drops again. Many, many towns who claim to get "lake snow" really don't.. In the world of weather, its a rare setup.

im actually impressed with how my ranger handled the major snow/ice in the Missouri area over the last week. I have 350lbs of sand in the back and it performed like a champ. I do put 4wd in when leaving my neighborhood as im on a hill there but other than that, its in 2wd.

Here in what's called the Piedmont section (kinda in the middle) of North Carolina we get a rare snow from time to time. Thankfully nothing like many here get. But, when we do we just shut everything down, and go out to play. With snow being a rarity here the County, and City don't have a lot of snow moving equipment to clean the roads. I do enjoy seeing these pictures, because like a kid I do love the snow. :)
