Growing up the neighbor had a big field behind our houses with a fishing pond in the middle. He got a new Blazer 4x4. He worked at gm. He took it to the field to play in the snow, went over a hump an must jumped it a little or something because all 4 tires were off the ground. The thing was setting on the snow. We usually get the heavy wet snow here. After an hour or more shoveling he hooked his ford tractor up to it an I pulled it with the tractor while he spun the tires. It finally came out. I don't remember him playing around in the field again.

We got about 30 inches of snow and record setting freezing rain so far this week. The ranger has gotten the wife and into work the last two days. Had to pull over this morning and stop due to a full on white out blizzard for about 1/2 an hour before we rallied on. I got a photo this morning, I just plowed the driveway last night

Every time I stop somewhere I have to clean off the tail lights. Wheel wells almost fully packed. The ranger wants in the garage to thaw out, but the tractor with snow plow is in there

We live in the hills, so it is up and down and curvy roads. I’m in 4high, traction control off, sport mode and second gear most of the time. The freezing rain has a layer of ice under all the snow about an inch thick. Can’t safely go over about 20 mph. Nokian studded snow tires are superb. I have 300 lbs of pea gravel in the back along with a couple shovels and a chain

I was in Truckee, CA for Christmas. Ranger did great! California drivers, not so much. So many wrecks. Ranger was plowing through 2’ of snow easily it was fluffy though

I finally got a chance to drive the Ranger in the snow. I am *very* impressed with how well it did. We got 4-5" of snow by me and the Ranger was unstoppable. I used 4wd just because I wanted to, but it was not a problem in 2wd. I was worried I would need to add some weight in the bed, but it handled the snow, no problem.

I run 265/70r17(C) BFG All Terrain tires at 37 PSI. I never even dropped the pressure. The ABS did a great job stopping me on snow when a jack wagon shot out from a side street (he had a red light but was doing 40 mph coming out of a residential neighborhood).

I really like the fact that I can shift in and out of 4Hi on the fly. This came in really handy while on the mountain yesterday. Side streets were nasty, but the main street and highway were clear. I was able to use 4WD to pull off the side streets and then kick it in to 2WD once I was on the main streets.

We've had lots of snow in Interior BC the past week and my Ranger has been enjoying it. Heres a photo I took on the way home from skiing the other day. What you dont see is the nearly 1M base under the soft top layer. 4wd with rear locked and it feels unstoppable.

Ahhhhh, life in the Kootenays - one of my favourite Scabs out there Steve - okay, maybe my favourite. ? My neighbour just headed out to Fernie (don’t go all East/West on me) and I almost told him to take my truck just so he could do it up right, but he’s not coming back until March. ?

Surprised how well it does in the snow, off road. I did use chains though because of the elevation changes, breaking trail and hauling a trailer. Of course I post a picture where I am stuck.
