I have one for over a year now, it always lights up once I push a button. I wish I had requested they not install it, they put it low under the door handle. Not where i would have put it...
We live in the hills, so it is up and down and curvy roads. I’m in 4high, traction control off, sport mode and second gear most of the time. The freezing rain has a layer of ice under all the snow about an inch thick. Can’t safely go over about 20 mph. Nokian studded snow tires are superb. I...
Every time I stop somewhere I have to clean off the tail lights. Wheel wells almost fully packed. The ranger wants in the garage to thaw out, but the tractor with snow plow is in there
We got about 30 inches of snow and record setting freezing rain so far this week. The ranger has gotten the wife and into work the last two days. Had to pull over this morning and stop due to a full on white out blizzard for about 1/2 an hour before we rallied on. I got a photo this morning, I...
16 inches of wet snow this weekend. After getting them unstuck, took some neighbors to town to get groceries. Roads were horrible, but the ranger got us there and back. This tree blew down across the road last night.
I installed a pair if Baja design a pillar lights. Amber driving combo lenses and am very happy with them. Lots of snow/ blowing snow this winter. I used them daily driving to and from work. Not much traffic, but lots of moose to watch for. Now we finally have over 12 hrs sunlight so driving i...
after a full year, i am really happy with the Carhart seat covers. they fit nice, are tough, and the dog hair vacuums off better than any seat cover i have tried. my yellow lab/golden retriever mix never stops shedding. They were pricey, but i feel they have been worth it. my FordPass...
We rented a cabin at the Boy Scout Camp about 60 miles out of town. We are the only ones who have been here for months. They have insulated cabins with electric and a wood stove. Ice fishing on the lake was fantastic today.
Strangely enough, it’s the only time of year I can keep it clean, it’s way to cold for slush or mud here. We live on a dirt road, so when I wash it in the summer it is either covered with dust or mud within a day or two. In the winter I use Speed Shine on it about once a month.
Heading to a cabin for the weekend. Dropped off the trailer and lit a fire in the stove, then had to drive another hour to see a customer before getting the next two days off. About -8 f. This photo is just after Noon. If you look close you can see the moon a little above the trailer.
Here in Alaska I use Nokian studded all season tires. Our four seasons are early winter, mid winter, late winter and next winter! I have also heard that a tailgate damper improves handling in the snow.
Very few. Some rental rv’s here and there but mostly Alaskans in town for the silver salmon. It will be very busy over the weekend. Last chance to catch silvers before the commercial fleet takes over
towed the Ranger here with the boat in the back. We saw a black bear near the tree line while putting the boat together. Hopefully catch some salmon ourselves tomorrow.
