I just changed my oil and I noticed a foul oil smell....I believe I have oil in my oil!!

Just a little levity to break up the fuel in the oil threads. I change my oil every 5k, no catch can and truck runs great with 32,800 miles on it.
I cannot believe that we are 3 pages into this thread and no one has told you how to fix this yet!

First you need to get a catch basin, preferably one with a cap you can seal afterwards. Crawl under your Ranger with the catch basin placing it underneath the big box at the bottom of your engine. Look for the drain plug (see photo below). It is specifically designed for the problem you have. Use a 15mm wrench or socket to remove the plug. Let the oil drain into the catch basin. Replace the plug when you are finished.

There you go! No more oil in your oil! ?

That's nothing I found out the wiper fluid tank might have been meant to actually help clean the windshield. I was driving down the road today behind another car while the roads were wet and my windshield got dirty. So I pulled on the window washer lever and noticed that washer fluid squirted on my windshield. I was very disappointed as my Ranger was delivered without washer fluid when I bought it. So even though I added fluid later, given it was delivered to me empty, I thought the fluid tank was mostly for show and it was not actually suppose to squirt the fluid on my windshield.

Time to trade this Ranger in before things get out of hand. Until then I'll maintain the healthy 40+ PSI that my tires were filled to when I took delivery. :p

I just went to my local auto parts store and asked for a catch “basin”. They promptly told me to get out of their store.

What is it with you all and checking dipsticks and levels?

What are those? Where are they? and Why would you do such things?

Sounds like you are setting yourselves up for problems, just drive the thing. If you hear, see, or smell something... Drive faster, roll the window down, or turn up the radio.

Have more fun in life! Go drive and get your free soda when you fill up, you deserve it.

What???
Belfry is the correct spelling. “Belfrie” is not a word but “Belfries” is the plural form of Belfry.

bel·fry
/ˈbelfrē/

noun
  1. the part of a bell tower or steeple in which bells are housed.
    • a bell tower or steeple housing bells, especially one that is part of a church.
Unless it is the singular possessive, which would be Belfry's. Example; "The deacon fed the belfry's batzz."
