I just changed my oil and I noticed a foul oil smell....I believe I have oil in my oil!!

Just a little levity to break up the fuel in the oil threads. I change my oil every 5k, no catch can and truck runs great with 32,800 miles on it.

Heck I got gas, in my gas. I opened the fuel door and could smell a very strong oder of fuel before I put the nozzle in. I'll have to schedule an appointment with my dealership tomorrow. However, I need to pull a fuel sample this evening so I can send it in for an analysis. I'm truly hoping this will explain the pungent smell of fuel I'm getting. Hopefully it's not heavy on the Fluororcabon side of things??

No fuel in your oil? Should I add this to the thread "List of deleted items"? ??

Hi Landis,

I just signed up for Premium Care from ForeverCar through my Michigan Credit Union, DFCU Financial. First time I have ever considered extended coverage but aging and other factors made this attractive. One thing that they require is that a reputable firm change the oil...no Harry Homeowner oil changes...Brake Job, no problem but oil change....gotta be done by someone else with a company and I have to file the receipts. No biggie as I am getting too old to crawl under the Ranger without a few aches and pains, so time to give up something I have always done on my own cars...Now my Ford Company car....the service garage took care of that... Alas, I gave that up when I got my Special Early Retirement that was not really Early....That is what they called it.... So I have Costco Synthetic and Motorcraft 910 filter that is likely no longer needed...Sigh!

Best,
Phil

Dude!
There's nothing worse than fuel leaking into your fuel!

Let us know how you make out.

You think that's bad... I've got fuel in my fuel! No oil in it at all.
I mean it's bad enough that it takes like $80 to fill it up but then when I do it's just all gasoline and fuel. No Oil. No Pixie Dust. At that price I'd expect it to have some cocaine in it and and cuddle me for a little afterwards. Nope - just fuel.

I had lunch at Taco Bell the other day (the ginormous combo of course) and I noticed on my way home that the truck suddenly filled with a foul odor.

And then it followed me for a bit.

Should I take it to the dealer?
