I must have dementia! I’m from that era and don’t remember any of these or seeing them on the road. Granted we were into the big 8’s and dual quads. But I recall a few Mazdas and Mitsu’s but ??‍♂
A little bit before my time but I asked my dad about them and he can’t recall any of them either. A hot-rodder like yourself he probably wouldn’t have paid much mind to them even if he did see them.

The theory is that it would cut into f150 sales which is ford's bread & butter.
No point in having swag for a vehicle you can hardly buy anyway.

Related rant, the online Ford Accessories site gets a D-. I ordered a impact bed/tailgate liner and seat covers in early December. They showed up a week later and I noticed there was damage to the liner box and it had been retaped (5 foot x 1.5 x 1.5 so big box). I open it a few weeks later while I waited for my truck to be delivered and there was a hole thru the liner and one of the ears that wraps around the fenderwell was torn. I called Ford Acc and offered I could live with the hole and tear for a small refund since it would probably cost them $50 to send it back and would probably just get thrown away when it arrives. They respond they can't do that, they can only replace it, ok fine lets do that. They send a label and I send it back. Over the course of the next month I called 4 times asking when the replacement will ship and always got the same "I'll check into that and get back to you ASAP". My final call was me telling them its been over a month just refund it.

The seat covers (made by coverking out of a carhartt type material) fit awful as well, I followed their instructions to a T and gave them time to settle in. Called to return those as well, it took just over a month for the refund for both items to be credited.

How old are you?
I am sixty seven. Owned an early Ram 50. Next door neighbor had a Courier at the same time and LUVs were everywhere. Juneau Alaska.

I was going to get the Ranger t-shirt. When I got to checkout, there was a button for the Military discount.

Before discount:

1380.webp

After discount:

2070.webp

Way to go Ford.
