I considered a light bar behind the grille too but I felt the XLT grill might not have enough open space for it to shine through like the lariat grille would. Does it throw any light?
I have ACC radar in the way so I put 2 6 inch lights there instead but I used the push pin holes that are along the top side to mount them and you can access the back side to put nuts on. I also removed my front plate bracket a long time ago and there were extra holes there. I never looked at...
I agree with the others here, it’s not the shocks job to support the weight of the vehicle, I’d really be looking at other suspension components. An easy 5 min test would be to pull the left and right bolts that secure the shocks to the axle while leaving the frame mounting location alone. This...
Same here April of 2019 truck was built still has original battery, no issues. Also disabled the BMS about 2 years ago via Forscan. However I do feel that it could crap out anytime now as it’s starting to get old.
I would use a fuse tap to tap into a 12+ ignition-on source in the fuse box under the steering wheel. That’s what I used for my audio amplifier for the trigger.
Surprisingly simple to remove. Just 3 Philips screws like airline tech shows.I had debris from someone trying to make a nest fall into the fan causing severe vibration after removing my cabin air filter. Removal and installation is pretty straight forward.
I personally am not bothered by the code but if I decide to play with Forscan or change my tire size again when my current tires are in need of changing I’ll look into this and see if the BCM is happy with certain sizes.
I got the unclearable U0422 after adjusting my tire circumference with Forscan. BCM doesn’t seem like it and hasn’t caused any problems for me but can’t be cleared. I imagine the dealership could.
I use a handheld leaf blower to get 90% of the water off as soon as I’m done doing final rinse then follow up with microfiber towel drying. Also avoid doing your truck washing in the sun. Regardless of which tools or products you use this will avoid the dreaded water spots. I would keep it...
I’ve found it pretty consistent on most vehicles that the difference between the bottom of the hashes or bottom hole and top hashes or top hole on the oil dipstick is 1 quart

Yeah I’m not aware of any aftermarket companies making them specifically for the Ranger. It would potentially be possible to use universal lines or ones from another model.
