No Android Auto Incident Reporting?

This feature rolled out six months or more ago (ability to report police, stuff on road, etc) for Google Maps on Android Auto. I have all the correct updates/versions of Maps/ Android Auto. Is the vehicle screen too small? Doesn't seem it is. Can I change the display resolution to get more real estate? Anyone else with a 2021 Ranger XLT seeing this feature? Truck says it is up to date also (SYNC 3.4).

I can't do any of that with Maps either. I wish I could, but been using Waze lately, it has all I need except the nice compass Google Maps has.

I can do it in my Mach-e but not in the Ranger. I agree it's annoying and I wish I could.

Google bought Waze (for over $1B) a while back and integrated the reporting features to some degree into Google Maps. Will Waze open in Sync 3?

I had before, I forget why I had switched back. Waze is great but has its own quirks. I guess I'll give that a shot.

I use Waze/Maps daily for service calls and at least once a week, Waze takes me several miles from where I want to be. I report it and I guess someone logs it, who knows.

Considering Google bought Waze, I would have thought they used the same info/map sets.

Yesterday I was in 15 miles of stop & go freeway traffic and Google Maps sent an alert from Waze reporting Police in the area. Well, I would hope so!

We do get the alerts from other drivers, so that's good! Was just hoping to reciprocate by doing our part to let folks know about conditions and hazards.

Waze reliably auto loads every time I start the truck. I am also using AAWireless, which has also been working great.

Interesting. I don’t think I have ever had GPS (Waze, Google, or otherwise) not take me to the destination I have input, but perhaps not via the ideal route. I feel like Google and the Ford built in Navigation mostly rely on the canned maps, whereas Waze may send you a different way based upon user reports. i really only use GPS when I have absolutely no idea where I’m going. If I use it where I know the location but just seek the quickest route, it frustrates me as often as not.

Some times it works and other times it dont?
I went from NY through PA and NJ a week ago and it was giving me all the reports of speed trap, stalled car and accidents and even the screen that asks if it still there so it allowed me to interact with it, but sometimes I can go for weeks without seeing that, didnt think much about it?

No luck for me either. I did a post about it a while ago and no one then had it either. My wife's '23 Pilot and the loaner '24 F150 we had both had it. I hope it is Ford dragging their feet rather than a resolution issue, there seems to be enough space for it.

Thankfully I at least get notified of what people report. Funny it will ask me if the incident is still there but wont let me report anything. I guess a new android auto roll out is coming soon too. Will just keep waiting.

Waze's end point is very dependent on the local map editors, or lack thereof in some places. You can create a sign-in for Waze and then after driving you can go to waze.com, login and then view your recent drives and may be able to fix some issues. You can look for your local area's Waze map editors on Discord and connect with higher ranked editors you may unlock some area to allow you to make updates that are connected to a road with a higher lock level than your own.
