A Ranger SuperCab Lariat FX4 501A is rare! I hope to keep my similar, but 301A + Tech pkg Hot Pepper Red SuperCab Lariat FX4 for a long time. The stereo and the driverās instrument cluster are better on the Lariat 501A.
Someday Iāll start a thread like yours. No downpipe yet? Try it, youāll...
Itās not about the extra oil, itās about the extra media, which means the dirt, etc. will be spread out over a larger surface area. Can anyone tell me anything useful about the lower rating on the relief valve? Thanks in advance.
Iāve regretted not putting new springs on when I replaced struts at 8 years and typical miles. You arenāt there yet, but $250 all in is not much money to avoid regret.
I know this is a year-old post, but I just experienced this with mine, a 2023 built in late 2022. So I wouldnāt say they addressed it. Iālol see the dealer in a month when I hit 30k for an oil change and see what they say.
I had to buy used Ranger because the only new extended cab 6 foot bed offerings, Tacoma and Frontier, were low-content and not the mainstream off-road package like FX4. In the U.S. Nissan had Pro-4x, Tacoma had TRD Off-road but not in extended cab.
I think by MY 2023, the kinks were ironed out-...
Iām not an expert, but I would look into an OBD dongle and the best app taking into account your vehicle and phone. I used OBDFusion and an optional software upgrade for my aging Infiniti G35. My Ranger hasnāt thrown a code yet, but when it does Iāll be trying it before buying anything else.
Please keep us informed. Iāve only watched RC Customs, and the guy canāt stop walking around his shop as he talks making his long and jumpy selfie video⦠nothing was planned, he just jumps in until he runs into trouble.
The $800 is for both rows, and as I wrote, only the back was installed when I took the picture. There is a picture here of the installed covers, you just havenāt found it. They fit better than any eBay or Amazon covers.
Have you used the search button? I researched here and bought the Covercraft Carhartt Precision Fit for front and rear, and love them.

I had installed one rear and started on one front seat when I took this picture...
But they didnāt compare the 2.3 EB cat with any of the available 3ā mandrel bent cats. The Ford part is a restriction in the otherwise 2.5ā exhaust, it isnāt mandrel bent so it might be 2ā at the narrow passages. Just look at the comparison on any install video.
A tune is not normally the first thing you do to a bone stock vehicle; usually you remove restrictions on the intake and exhaust first. I plan on a high flow cat as the first bolt on.
Like the OP, I am a new owner, 6 weeks, and about $2k into a $5k budget. I will get OBD II temp gauges to monitor IAT and EGT before justifying an intercooler, but 100 degree temps are common 3 months out of the year.
