Well, Ford decided to make me look at the new app by having to sign in again after 2 years. Took a look at it and then hit the previous version button. Ford had me rate the app before letting me go back and of course I said the same thing a lot of you are saying how its a steaming pile.

Suppose to receive my Perimeter Plus module today. After the install I have to decide if I want to keep the fuse in for big brother module. To many reports of insurance companies buying our driving habits info to base the rates that we pay. As far as I'm concerned they should be based on how many claims you make not your credit score or driving habits.

I cant even do the wifi updates and tried two different browsers which I never had any issues doing on my '19. I swear Ford's doing this on purpose because it's a free app. Now they can come out with a subscription for just $4.99/month and you'll get the "new and improved" app giving us all our same stuff we had before (for free and working) but for a price now.
This is why you disable updates and don't just hit update when it says "bug fixes and improvements".

Like my stopwatch/alarm app has wanted to update for "bug fixes and improvements" forever. It is counting down fine and waking me up on time, what could the improvements be? ?‍♂ They are trying to insert ads.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Well, I was liking the new UI until I did my oil change yesterday and found out there is no way to add that service via the app any longer.

I guess it's time to just delete this useless app and call it a day. Now the main page is just a blank screen and there's no more info under the service tab.

At least it's not showing me still parked in AZ.

@AzScorpion - if it makes you feel any better, mine shows my history but it also shows it is currently On - with an option to turn on the vehicle -that makes total sense:

Has it been asked if there is a difference between the Apple vs Android UI, I do have the assumption that depending on trim level of vehicle and vehicle for that matter will be different provided those details.. idk I’m just wondering. Mine allows me to remote start, schedule remote start, lock/unlock vehicle, check tire pressure, see service history, vehicle status has kinda been dumbed down from the earlier version and I do agree that the new interface kinda Oof’d on some of the capabilities of the app being spread apart that were somewhat better located (meaning clicks it takes to access them.) (but honestly I feel like I’m nit picking.) first vehicle I’ve ever owned that has a app.. shoot first vehicle I owned that has remote start. So it’s pretty fancy to me from the jump.
Just a couple pennies from me.

That’s not ideal ?, but I like the dark mode. I have Apple and even it if switch to dark mode it still just stays white. It’s blinding. However that’s just a gripe not a actual problem like you folks are having…

I have to restart my IPhone every other day to use it, sometimes twice a day. It does really really suck!! I’ve used a lot of sucky software in the past but this is beyond ridiculous..!!!

Rob, that's how mine started out showing it was stuck on (when it's on you can't use any of the functions) and the range was stuck at 97 miles from 5 weeks ago. Today I noticed everything is blank. You'd think hope that with all the bad reviews on the App Store with everyone complains about the same problems they would've fixed it by now.

Mine had all those features too and they worked flawlessly up until the most recent update. After that the vehicle showed it was on when it was parked in my garage, showed the range at 97 miles which was from 5+ weeks ago and the oil life stuck at 97%.

This is exactly why I rarely update things right away(my fault for doing this one ) because the updates now usually mess everything up then they need another update to fix the previous one.?

For Apple i noticed the app gets really really bad if I turned off background app app refresh function. (Phone setting.) I haven’t had a normal cellphone since the galaxy s6. ? been Apple since my sister started working for them (Employee family discount, or something like that.) point could it possibly be the allowed access the app has? lots of folks like to lock down for cybersecurity purposes… these digital mischief making buttholes are getting pretty talented in that criminal aspect. Regardless the app still really leaves much to be desired.

seriously though it really does appear that they release a update and then shortly after release another update that the original update was put out for.
mine stopped working once the update came out, so I was essentially forced to do so. But the app actually started working ? (guess I’m one of the lucky ones.)

We should do a survey of who is using Apple or Android, to see if it's a problem on both platforms or just Apple.
I have Android, and the new app works all the time, every time.

Good call and I added a poll to this thread.

I'm on Android - other than the error of it being flagged as running and the fact I can't add service receipts thru the app any longer - otherwise it is working OK for me. It still seems like a pretty stupid "upgrade" to me - minor UI changes and removal of some useful features.

I clicked Android on the poll, and can just say the update seems to be working for me.
And I'll say I don't like it!
Why, oh why, do they mess with something that's been working just fine?
Oh well.
