Americans will find this hard to believe but the only battery offered by COSTCO up here for my truck was the Energizer, at an all in out the door no installation price of $338.00 Canadian dollars. Holy good god almighty. Sure it comes with a five year warranty but....Our taxes are brutal up here!! A forty pounder of vodka costs 40 bucks, 24 beer is over 50 bucks

AGM batteries are expensive. They are about $180 USD here, not including installation.

battery prices have been creeping up in the US over the last few years (like many other things).

and i like to drink me some alcohol, but at those prices i don't know that i would. a 12 pack of yuengling light is $12.99 USD. that's about as much as i can handle.

i used to love hopping on my motorcycle and riding to a craft beer brewery 40 minutes or so away. pleasant ride. i'd grab a beer or two on draft with a bag of chips, listen to some podcasts and sit in the corner people watching. the brewery now charges as much as $16.99 USD for a SIX pack. that was it for me. i don't go anymore. i'll just drink light beer at home, park my ranger in the front yard and mow around it like my ancestors would've wanted.

Yup....crazy! I paid about that at Canadian Tire for a battery too.....and $250 at CarQuest for 4 pairs of brake pads.
You think $40 for Vodka is bad, wait till I tell what your liquor store paid for that bottle.....about $5. The company's profit margin is worse than any amount of taxes.

That price isn't all that bad... I guess. My 2021 needed a battery replacement in March..at 37k... so Ford wouldn't cover it, and batteries are an exception to Ford ESP.... I had to pay for it myself. They told me it HAD to be an AGM battery.... and NOBODY had one...including Ford, so the truck sat for a week while they came up with one. it cost me $350.00 American, including diagnosis...supplies/disposal and tax.

if only i had known about them, do they offer a five year warranty too? the trouble is, once i factor in canadian dollars, shipping and trying to collect on a warranty if anything went wrong, i wouldn't be saving any money up here
