This is my first build thread so bear with me. This is not my first Ford or modded ecoboost (#5) but first Ranger. List includes a hybrid turbo FiST, big turbo Fist, 3.5 long travel F150, '18 Raptor. It'll be my weekend hauler and offroader. Nothing extreme but more of a fun toy. I have a Cam Am x3 turbo for the extreme stuff and the Ranger will be towing it. On to the build...

That's for sure. Looks like the frame mounted options are pretty limited right now.

I also need to figure out where to fit my oversize spare. Thinking either roof rack or hitchgate.

Sounds like it will be pretty cool. Be sure to post up pics when you go Camo Green!

Didn't get a chance to update my thread before I left for the weekend.

Got the truck ceramic tinted. 20% on front windows, 50% on all back windows, 70% on windshield.

Installed Bakflip, Baja Designs Pro Squadron driving lights in stock location, installed Trigger 6 Shooter, 589 hidden winch, and Smittybilt winch.

Picture of winch was before wire cleanup and putting fascia and skid plate back on. Also a pic of the wheels and tires I hope I can squeeze in. ?

Finally getting the rear shocks today and hope to have the Fox 2.5 kit, Icon UCA, and wheels/tires installed by this weekend.

Shout out to @589FAB for their excellent customer service, quality parts, and wick turn around. And to @Discount Tire for all their help and great prices. ?

The hidden winch mount worked with ACC? I thought I read somewhere, maybe it wasn't 589FAB, that the ACC wouldn't work with the mount?

I installed the Fab Fours ACC relocation kit. If you look at the wiring to the right of the winch you can see the wiring stretched and going up to the new location. That was before I opened up the wiring harness a bit to separate the ACC wiring so it wasn't so stretched.

Got the front suspension and wheels on. Had to remove all 4 crash bars, plastic blocks and lots of trimming!

Still need to figure out what to do with the crash bar frame. I had to trim the end back to the first bolt hole. Now it's going to contract the back of that frame under full lock and compressed. I can either trim that or possibly get spacers in the front. Not sure I want to push the tires out any further and that frame is tied into a body mount.

I'll get better pics today.

BDS intrusion beams are great. I personally wouldn't run without some type of intrusion beam as they are there for safety. Did you already install your Icon tubular UCAs? If not, triple check that all the parts are there. When I got mine they were missing the "buckets" and Icon had to mail them out to me.

No intrusion bars. There is no space for them in my setup, even the aftermarket ones, unfortunately. I know it's a hot debate but it's unknown what would happen with a lift and meaty tires. Similar to a Raptor that doesn't come with them.

Icon UCA's are in and came with everything, thankfully. I didn't check before pulling everything off the truck. ?

I ordered a set of wheel spacers. Thinking it over, I don't want to weaken the integrity of those front body mounts. Not my truck below but here's a visual of what's going on. Red line is where I had to cut the frame (after removing crash bars), yellow line is where it rubs under full lock and suspension compressed. You can see the body mount toward the back of this crash bar frame. Wheel spacers should get it far enough away from that yellow line.

Now I will have quite a bit of poke on this setup (probably around 3.5"). And no one offers wide enough flares. ☹

Better picture. Also tried my hand at plastidip on the fender vent. First try came out good except I had some gasket sticking out from the factory at the top, behind the vent that I didn't see until I started peeling it and messed up the edge a bit. I'll peel it and retry or wait until I completely spray the entire truck. Good learning experience for sure.

Got some more work done over the weekend. Installed rear shocks, lift blocks, Baja Designs reverse lights, Ford bed extender, tailgate assist, and Wolf Haus bed outlet.

Still need to mount rock lights, hood lights, bed lights, and wiring it all. Also mounting rotopax, hi-lift and shovel/ax in bed.

If anyone's wondering, a 35" spare can fit with some massaging. There is a pad and bracket above the spare tire that can be cut out if I ever want to bring the tire up another 0.5-1". I'll have to see how it does on exits before I remove anything else.

Got all lights installed and wired to the Trigger 6. Found out Ford now uses micro2 fuses after crimping the add a circuit. Oops.

Also mounted my Hi-Lift and Rotopax.

Getting alignment and oil change today. Aligning headlights today as well. Going camping this weekend to test everything out.

Almost done with phase 1. Just have shovel and ax to mount and replace winch hook with a thimble.
