Hey All! I have some plans for my truck and figured I would document it here. My goal is to build a overland rig that is capable on moderate trails, but also daily drive-able (this is my daily driver). Excited to share my progress with everyone, and hopefully inspire some!

Without further adieu, here is the truck. 2019 XLT FX4 in Oxford White.

Current Mods:

Eibach Pro Leveling Struts w/stock springs up front
Eibach Pro Shocks out back
Stage 3 Performance Ranger Raptor Grill
Bronze Method MR703 in 16x8 +0 Offset
BFG KO2 in 285/75/R16
All Crash Bars Removed
Rear Seat Delete and Custom Dog Platform (Built by Myself)

Current Accessories:

Ford Rear Swingout Storage Case (Drivers side)
ZeeDee Tailgate Damper

How she sits now:

The day I picked her up, bone stock:

First off-road test up Cole Grade in Pauma Valley for anyone familiar with San Diego County. Took this road all the way up and it spits you out at Palomar Mountain:

Built a platform for my dog and removed the rear seat. I have an abnormally large shepherd who loves to be spoiled. V2 of this platform is being built with a memory foam pad for the pup.

Ordered my lift last week and wheel/tire setup yesterday. Very impatiently waiting for everything to come in lol. I am told wheels will be here by 1st week of September. Tires are in stock and being held for me. I have received my front shocks but am waiting for my rears. I went with the following:

Method MR703 in Bronze. 16x8 +0 offset (Purchased through Discount Tire)
BFG K02 in 285/75/r16 (Purchased though Discount Tire)
Eibach Pro Leveling Struts (Purchased from Stage3)

For anyone who doesn't go to Discount Tire/America's tire, I can't recommend them enough. If you are in San Diego greater area, shoot me a PM and I can recommend my 2 favorite shops to you where I have developed a relationship with some stand-up managers who will get you taken care of.

Installed a couple of more goodies this afternoon.

Ford driver's side swingout tool case:

Install was incredibly easy, just 2 brackets at 7 bolts. Everything was pre-drilled and tapped from factory, had to use a razorblade to clean up some of the bedliner around the holes so I could start them.

And of course, had to throw on the tailgate damper!

Eibach Pro Kit went on the front this weekend. Still waiting for my rears. Battled with it for about 7 hours in the dirt, only for it to have a rattle after. Cooled off for a couple of days and resolved the rattle issue when I realized I forgot to torque the strut shaft nut on top of the spring hat .

Also, my wheels came in this morning! Getting them mounted and the truck aligned on Wednesday. Sorry for the linked Snapchat picture, this was sent to me straight from my friend at Discount Tire, haven't even seen the wheels in person yet!

Wheels and tires went on yesterday!

I had to remove all of the crash bars and the 33s fit perfectly, no rubbing. Absolutely loving the fitment. Discount Tire in San Marcos did a great job installing, then North County Wheel and Tire in Escondido did my alignment. Slim at North County Wheel and Tire does a great job with off-road vehicles; highly recommend him for all of the North County SD folks.

Special shoutout to I Got A Guy Automotive in Escondido as well for helping me torque my UCAs and double check a couple of other suspension torques!

Here is some pic heavy spam for you all.

Haha! Hey it’s hard to find good shops sometimes. I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences, so I try to plug the good ones where I can?
