Hello all,

I thought some of you might appreciate in person photos. Have fun! Last two photos is just me comparing clearance in a lazy way. And me being weird at the dealership.

Have a good week,
Brandon

All the shit talking I do about Ford's design ideas with the new Mav/Ranger; you'll vomit up your actual intestines once you see one of those Hyundai trucks...
But with the Hyundai you'll always have your Murse to vomit into.

I had one "sneak" up on me a few mornings ago as I was driving to work (in the dark). The front end does look unique in the dark, for sure. Interesting headlight pattern.

I wasn't sure what it was until it had passed me and I could read the name on the tailgate.
DeeZee? ?

I was actually interested in the Maverick FX4 with the 4k towing package until I watched a bunch of off road test videos. The Maverick got stuck on 6-8 inch logs laying in dry dirt. Needless to say I'm not impressed. I'll stick with my Ranger or get another Jeep instead.

This car has to much Plastic on it. It will look like a throw away car within a couple years. And since it’s made in Mexico it will probably have a ton of issues to. The Maverick is definitely a neat idea though.
Made in Mexico

Including Audi, VW, BMR.......

I bet quality is better. Seen crap coming g out of US mfrs now?

i get the feeling since ford killed off sedans they started looking at the platforms in the part bin and said, how can we take all this crap we already have and make another offering and put all these names on it that sell well on other existing products...and we have the maverick. i dont really get the bronco sport either. its not like ford does not have an suv already in that size. oh well they seem to sell, good for them. i can see some poor married sap begging his bossy wife," if we have to get a car for all the kids and your craft materials, shoe shopping and scentsy tables can it at least be a bronco sport or a maverick?"

MOTOR FROM SPAIN!?!
Screenshot_20211223-113452_kindlephoto-176829495.png
Valencia Spain, they make a lot of the Ecoboost engines for the global market. Ford moved the 2.0 production for US vehicles to the Cleveland plant in the past few years though, the current 2.0 in the Escape comes from Cleveland I believe. I wonder if it's a matter of import tarrifs where it's cheaper to ship from Spain to Mexico for assembly? Or could just be a capacity restriction.

Ford is a global manufacturer: "The Ford Valencia Body and Assembly is a major car assembly plant located at Almussafes on the southern edge of the Valencia conurbation, Spain. with a production capacity of 450,000 vehicles a year and 8,000 employees, it is Ford's largest manufacturing complex outside the United States."

The only recent launches of Ford's that went well were the vehicles that are made in Mexico.

The Bronco Sport and Maverick had smooth, virtually problem free launches.

The newest Explorer's, Bronco's, and Mustang Mach E's launches were a shit show in comparison.

Have you ever seen Mexican folks working?

vs American Union laborers

My FiST was built in Mexico. Initial quality was better than any other new Ford I've bought. My Ranger included.

I'd rather have a vehicle built by Mexican folk than one built by lazy union shitbags.

Or maybe it’s just easier for everyone because the installation instructions are in Spanish. ?

One of these beautiful blue colored ones came up next to me on the freeway yesterday on my way home.
It was super nice looking … in all honesty though - it made my Ranger look like a F250 to it.
.. and the bed is way to short. Way to short.

My feelings exactly: they are totally cool and totally... too small! Still, Ford will sell a ton of them, which is a good thing for us as well!

Yes sir. They are a very different type of truck / SUV mix but nothing for me. I’m happy for Ford coming around and jittering up the new lineup. Good for them and evolving. We shall see how it all goes ?
