Maverick more than my 2020 Lariat

This is totally crazy. I thought the Maverick was a cheaply priced mini truck. I guess not. I believe I paid $36,999 for my 2020 Lariat Ranger SCAB. I am so glad I bought my Lucille when I did.

That's crazy Mark! I only paid $38K for my full loaded '19 Lariat. And that had all the deleted items on it too. ?

My wife's Maverick is due to be built in a few weeks. It'll be more expensive than my Ranger, but I got the Ranger through Granger, in addition to two rebates. I also got a 2WD XL STX FX2 and upgraded everything. Paid $28,xxx last year. Building it out as of a few months ago, my truck came in around $35k.

I believe my wife's Maverick will be around $33k (minus the military rebate), but I started with an XLT, upgraded everything, added AWD and 4k tow.

But yeah, not only is the base price going up every year, but dealerships are shady and removing the actual benefit of the truck... Being cheap for what it does. It's like the guys buying C8 ZO6's for $200k. Once you're up there in that price range, there are better options.

My wife's Maverick came in a week ago and we've had it since. I've been driving it a bit... To be honest, I like it more than my Ranger. If I didn't need the higher tow rating of the Ranger, I'd probably have a Maverick for myself. It drives like a car and has utility... Honestly, for what I've used my Ranger for so far, since I've still been using my diesel Jeep to tow, the Maverick would have done everything I have needed in the last year.

Got my wife’s 2022 Maverick Lariat lux hybrid fully loaded except moon roof. Ordered September 2021 took delivery last October. It was about 31k. I like it but still prefer my 21 Ranger Lariat FX4.
