  1. Former Ranger owner

So far I am very happy with the 23 Escape ST Line Select. The 2.0L with AWD gets excellent fuel mileage and handles great. I dropped the Escape off at the dealership this morning to get a few things done and noticed one of the salesman had bought my Ranger. I didn't think it would last long on...

Yes the 2023 models got a face lift. And the 2.0L Ecoboost makes plenty of power. Using Sport mode will definitely throw you back into the seat. And the ST Line definitely handles well with its European style sports touring suspension.
  3. Former Ranger owner

Rumor has it that the Escape and Edge are going away. And yes I do like the looks of the 2023 Escape over old models. So far I am loving the ST-Line Select and I am averaging 30 MPG so far with the 2.0L and AWD
  4. Former Ranger owner

The ST Line is new for the 2023 model year. Starting with 2023 there is the Active, St-Line, ST-Line Select, Platinum, and St-Line Elite trim levels. Ford did away with the S, SE and Titanium trim levels. And I would have looked at something different if I could not have gotten AWD and a...
  5. Former Ranger owner

It will depend on the trim level you go with for what power train is available in the Escape. Yes they do make some AWD models with the 1.5L The Active is only available with the 1.5L. The St-Line is available with the 1.5L or or 2.5L. The ST-Line Select, Platinum, and St-Line Elite are only...

The AWD ST-Line comes with the 2.0 Ecoboost and it definitely has plenty of power. I made sure to go with one that did have the 2.0 and factory tow package (3,500 lbs). I have to agree that the 1.5L is underpowered. My parents have a 2019 Escape with the 1.5L.
  7. Remote Transmission Dip Stick Aftermarket Support?

Please take me off the list since I no longer own my Ranger, Thank you
  8. A couple of things for Ford to consider ...

I made it a point to mention all of the stuff my 2020 XLT had that was deleted on later trucks when the dealership was appraising it for trade in. My truck had all 6 bed tie downs and hood struts. In hind sight, I should have pulled the two center tie downs and sold them to other Ranger owners
  9. Former Ranger owner

I'll probably leave it stock for now. Sport mode is fun and enough to get me into trouble.
  10. Former Ranger owner

The first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem.
  11. Former Ranger owner

Tracy, Just to let you know, my Escape has both front and rear parking assist sensors so I don't have to worry about parking crooked. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 And you know I am only messing with you in fun. :like:
  12. Former Ranger owner

Yeah I had to take it easy in the Ranger and not use Sport mode and I know the same will be true with the Escape when the boss is in the passenger seat. 🤣
  13. Former Ranger owner

I sure will. I reset the trip odometer pulling out of the dealership and was seeing up to 39 MPG at 72 mph on the interstate on the way home. It was a 60 mile drive. Now when I got to the last 20 miles which is hilly curvy backroads, I put the transmission into sport mode and had some fun in...
  14. Former Ranger owner

Well it has been fun but I traded my 2020 XLT FX4 in for a 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line Select AWD today. It was nice meeting fellow Ranger owners and I learned quite a bit on this forum. I also hope that I was able to help others along the way. As much as I love the Ranger, it was getting harder...
  15. MAP on strike and two others;

That is one of a few things I always disliked about the unions I was in over the years. They wanted us to vote democrat and would also use our union dues to make contributions to democratic candidates. With my last job, the union got too greedy and screwed themselves. I worked in a...
  16. Tire recommendations

I'm in Mid Missouri also, one hour east of Columbia. And I had great experiences with the Falken WildPeak AT3W on my 2002 Jeep Liberty and 2016 Jeep Cherokee. And my son runs them on his 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk. Around here only the Interstate and US highways get repaved with asphalt. All...
  17. Tire recommendations

I have ran BFG KO II tires, Big O Big Foot A/T II (made by Cooper) and Falken WildPeak A/T tires on several different Jeep models over the years. The BFG and Big O tires were better suited for off road use and only did okay in heavy rain but didn't do so well in snow. The Falken WildPeak A/T...
  18. Tailgating

The clear glass beads from the crafts section at Walmart works wonders for tailgaters. Plus they shatter and blend in with the broken windshield glass. And YES I use to carry clear glass beads with me when I rode motorcycles and had to use them on a few occasions. I had a Highway Patrolman tell...
  19. NO SHUT OFF

Tow mode and sport mode both disable the auto start stop system. Usually if the battery is getting weak then you will see a crossed out A on the dash. And when you scroll through the menu you will get a message stating the A.S.S. is not available due to battery charging. I get that in my 2020...
  20. Are TPMS Sensors "Location" Dependent

All of the Chrysler/Jeep, GM, and Ford vehicles I have owned with TPMS have always relearned on their own. It usually takes about 15 to 20 miles of driving .
