Just think.... You can go to your local Ford dealer, and choose a small truck (Maverick), medium truck (Ranger), full-sized truck (F150), or one of their huge monster trucks (F250, F350, F450, etc.) you can haul a yacht with! Seems logical to me!

I'd consider the F-150 and larger to be yachts themselves :)

I initially wanted the Maverick, but then I saw the Blue and Orange interior. That is sacrilegious as a Bama fan. :giggle:

The one full sunlight image I saw, the slate color was obscenely blue.

They will sell like hotcakes, but I am glad I went with my black on black Lariat instead!
Climate Control KNOBS!!!!

Where did they find this oracle of common sense who came up with this?

Who knew knobs would be such a big deal...but they are!
But I do not like the knob shifter thingy at all.

I've had rentals with the rotary shifter and while it does take some getting used to, it's no big deal once acclimated.

My most recent rental was all pushbutton for the shifting (Hyundai Santa Fe)

Yes, it has knobs, but... Just on USB and one accessory socket. That sort of limiting for some folks who seemingly have every conceivable, electronic device, strewn across the dash and passenger seat. That's not me, but I know a few of those folks!

Look harder, I see 2 usb ports, and who knows how many in the console and rear seat..

Some videos that show the Maverick inside and compare the trims.

Once we move to the mountain, and after the Mav has been out a year then I will look at it again. I do want better mileage and we'll see if I can live with AWD instead of 4x4.

We'll also see if we get a PHEV Ranger.

Hmmm. My Ranger is paid for. 4x4 STX with tow package. I could trade it in, get cash back and a brand new turckish truck.

J/K. Nope. Not happening. A Maverick would not do what I need a truck to do.
According to Google the Maverick has a 2,000 lbs. towing capacity. The Santa Cruz is 3,500 to 5,000.
My Ranger is 7,500 lbs.
HTX, I don’t think the Maverick would fare well traversing the deep holes around San Luis Pass, lol.

I wonder what kind of pricing for those Mavericks? They are not for me but should sell great.
It's actually the least expensive vehicle in Ford's lineup. Base 2wd is like $19,995.
I had two Sport Tracs before and it kinda looks like a downsized Sport Trac. If you need a back seat and smaller bed is okay, then go for it. I could live with one but at this point my kids are grown and gone and I don't need a back seat and would rather have a longer bed.

I was just thinking though that the Fx4 sort of implies 4x4, but whatever.
agreed! every time i see a maverick on the road that has the fx4 sticker i have one of those vomit burps that leave a terrible taste. it also has me wanting to remove the decals from my ranger

All the shit talking I do about Ford's design ideas with the new Mav/Ranger; you'll vomit up your actual intestines once you see one of those Hyundai trucks...

I had one "sneak" up on me a few mornings ago as I was driving to work (in the dark). The front end does look unique in the dark, for sure. Interesting headlight pattern. I wasn't sure what it was until it had passed me and I could read the name on the tailgate.
