When someone builds a kit to throw the manual trans under the Ranger - I'll get in line to make that change.

Could not or would not try that or a motor swap on something this new without someone else working the bugs out.

It may be blasphemy, but as a former LS-driver, I see the appeal. They're simple to work on, have endless aftermarket support, and make power pretty easily.

I knew a guy very good engine builder, may he rest in peace, that drove chevys & raced Fords. He said any body could make a chevy run, he loved the challenge of making a Ford fast & beating them. I believe his son still has their 4cyl turbo Mustang. Had a write up in Fast Fords Mag some years back. That was one quick 4 cyl.

The LS is a solid swap. Can't beat it's durability. Having owned both, I would take the LS over a Coyote any day of the week.
