Went looking for a Ford Ranger LS build on Youtube and found this.... a 2005 Ranger with an LS and a tad bit more...

I swear people would swap an LS engine into a power wheels car if they could and it didn't literally crush the plastic chassis.

I'm sure someone has LS swapped a 1950's vintage toaster somewhere in the world.

I saw they make LS swap kits for Wranglers, which makes sense! Ford and Chevy: never shall the two intergrade.

FWIW, there are three Fox Body Mustangs that come to the local Cars n Coffee cruise with LS swaps. Two are super charged, the third is turbo charged. A guy in my Mopar club picked up a Fox Body Mustang drag car with no engine or tranny. He had a 509 cid stroker Mopar 440 and 727 tranny he put in it.

I love to see people doing these kind of swaps, it's good for the hot rod hobby.

I consider myself a Mopar guy and when I decided to build a Factory Five 33 Ford I needed a touch of Mopar in it. That's why I have built it with a Gen 3 Hemi.

Only advantage the LS has over a coyote crate engine is cost. Even the remanufactured Coyotes cost more.

It may be blasphemy, but as a former LS-driver, I see the appeal. They're simple to work on, have endless aftermarket support, and make power pretty easily.

Went from two diesels to 2 Texas speed LS motors.

I do not think that will turn out well in the long run...

For most things I get the LS swap as being easy peasy especially when dealing with that goofy crap that Ford did with the oil pumps being driven by a damn rubber band...er..."KEVLAR BELT" on the Coyotes.

I'm hoping the engine going in goes better than taking it out.
18 weeks ago they started to remove it, 3 weeks ago it was finally out.
Thats the easy part.
This might be a loooong process
