That is too much weight for a tire that size. 1st thing to check is the amount of run out of the tire/wheel assembly. all the weight in the world won't fix an egg shaped tire. If too much runout then the tire needs to be broken down & spun on the rim 180 degrees. Recheck and see what the runout...
When I was a little boy, many years ago, my dad was teaching me how to ride a bicycle. One thing he told me was always remember to watch out for cars. If you get hit it's really gonna hurt. This was as we were standing beside his '61 Ford Galaxie. Apparently nobody told that guy anything like...
I was working at Ford stores during the Fox years. Those 5.0 Mustangs were a hell of a car for the money. Had a guy order one, got a notchback, 5.0, 5 speed, and premium sound sound system. nothing that hindered straight line performance. It ran very well. I wouldn't mind owning one myself, only...
Jack up trailer side to side and check the tires very carefully. I bought a new trailer myself a few years ago and it shook my truck a bit on the way home. 1st trip with a ton of pellets & it got worse. I don't use the trailer all that much so I didn't worry too much about it. About 5 years...
I worked at a Ford store in the 90's Had a customer that had constant brake problems with his F150. The truck got lemon lawed and he bought a different truck. My dealership bought the truck from Ford. I worked on the brakes and repaired them. Dealership sold the truck and there was never anymore...
Totally agree with you, Figarou. Been probably 20 years now, wife found a great deal on a basketball backboard & post. Got to the store around 6.00 am. The place was crazy busy. Made the purchase and got the hell out of dodge. Never again.
My son has a 2010 escape 2.5 engine frt wheel drive, still going strong. it has the same drivetrain that my 2012 Fusion had. My Fusion had 180K on it when I traded it. Biggest problem with the Escape is a tendancy to rust out over the rear wheels into the rear suspension mounts. It runs cheap...
Wow. I didn't know there were so many toyota fans on a Ford forum. I worked in dealerships for most of my career. Ford, GM, and a few imports. Even AMC-Jeep. They all had their problems, none were perfect. I'd just rather support a US based company, simple as that.
I stand by my statement. Ask someone thats had to have one repaired. 3K to have timing components replaced. Under 100K miles. All of my Fords have made that plus.
I shoot a lot of 22lr myself. I have a Stevens click clack semi auto I got from my dad. Best I can figure it's at least 70 years old. also a couple of Henry's and a S&W compact 22. Just picked up a North American Arms Mini revolver W/the folding grip. About 120 rounds and it shot fine. Not a...
A friend of mine saw how this sort of thing happens first hand. Had a car come to his shop, was a theft and recovery. The car had the front clip stolen, otherwise no damage. customer wanted it fixed so a frt clip from an area salvage yard was ordered. Parts showed up the next day. He felt luckey...
I think if it was me, I would try to stuff a section of foam pipe insulation in there and give it a go. the piece that came with the cover had a peel and stick adhesive on it. Doesn't fit real tight but does the job.
When I bought my cover new, it came with a seal for the front of the bed. If buying used the previous owner probably ruined it taking it off. nothing that a trip to the local hardware store won't fix.
I just can't believe that Jeep dirtied up the Name Gladiator with the thing they build now. I owned a real one years ago. Now that was a real Gladiator. J20, 4speed with locking hubs & a manual transfer case. With stock suspension I hauled a load of scrap to the yard to recycle. After unloading...
