With this and an ability to regear within reason I’m the truck would be perfect.

I am curious if any pricing changes happen and how hard the install is really.
according to LRA, it’s just R&R. Should be easy, minus the fact that it’ll be heavy.

Regear is pretty obtainable now but your really only stuck with a couple gear sets and pretty expensive if your 4x4. I have looked through fords parts numbers and cross referenced youd be able to use the carrier out of a m190 from a badlands, but unfortunately they dont sell too many different ring and pinion gears. To add to it ford wont sell you the welded pumpkin with ring and pinion by itself. Ive spent hours looking into this.

That’s not true. The bronco dimensions are different than the Ranger dimensions. The half shafts are not cross compatible. There is a lot more to it than that.

Carrier not complete assembly. But if you want to talk specifics. M190 between bronco and ranger the difference is in axle shafts theyre longer in bronco. The carrier is same youd reuse your tube off the ranger as far as spline count and od theyre same. You can cross reference ford part numbers. Look up the hub assembly youll see its same used in both models. Last time i looked up the carrier on its own it was like 564. Again this is for m190. Now if you were wanting to do m210 dana sells an axle with whatever gear set you want but its in 3k ball park with a locker

This tank is exactly what I needed for my Ranger, and I want to get anyone who might consider one the best info they need to make their decision one way or the other.

I have 14 gallons of extra fuel I would carry with me when we head up into the mountains, and now I don't have to carry those. The Long Range Tank frees up a lot of space in the bed of my truck, and having a tonneau cover, gets the gas smell out of my gear.

It does weigh a bit more than the stock tank, but not enough to have any noticeable drop in suspension.

I also don't have to worry about my wife leaving it on Empty if she decides to use it. ?

The next time somebody asks to borrow your truck, just tell them to make sure and fill it up when they are done. Another great reason to get the upgrade. ;)

I sure do wish it were that simple and apologies for taking us off-topic. My truck would have had gears quite some time ago. Unfortunately, while the specs suggest the Bronco ring and pinion will fit, it turns out there are unique clearance issues with the Ranger. This is not theoretical but actual observations from attempting an install. My truck is scheduled to get an M210 with gears and locker swap in Nov. If ya'll want to discuss further reply over in one of the gearing threads or DM me.

Woot! So excited to see this fuel tank discussion revived!! I'm in the same position as Wes. I drive to a lot of really remote locations and often at hours and locations where fuel options are extremely limited. FWIW, I came from a Raptor and it's 36 gal of fuel capacity glory. My Ranger doesn't get much better fuel economy than that Raptor so the tiny tank really stings. Other than that, I really enjoy the light, nimble feel of the little Ranger.

I haven't noticed any loss in nibbleness. It's a hard feeling to beat knowing you have enough fuel to get you in and out without having to transfer from one tank to another. No loose cans bouncing around the back of your truck or hanging on the side of your truck.

Not ring and pinion but carrier assembly. Got link to your threads im interested. While youre doing the m210 swap id suggest doing the bronco control arm swap theres atleast 1 member on here thats done it so far which im also contemplating on doing.

You guys and your peer pressure. This is starting to look viable, without too much work.

Very tempting...

They have a few more left to pre-order! You won't regret it!
