Don't know how I missed this thread! I have a LRA tank as well. The LRA guys in Boise installed my tank. I love the range I get out of it, average around 600 per tank (I let it run pretty low). There is only about 1/4" difference in ride height on the drivers side, when the tank is full...
27,000 miles on my 2022. I've had the Ford performance tune installed for the last 5,000 miles. No issues so far. This is a fun truck, I'm glad I bought it!
That's awesome! I know the feeling of relief you felt when you finally saw movement! A huge weight off of your mind! Now you get to fully enjoy 37 gallons of freedom!
I hooked up my laptop and checked FORscan at least 6 times to see if I had entered everything correctly and to see if it was throwing any codes. I was hard to trust it was reading correctly.
I've ordered an aux tank for my Jeep Wrangler, so I know how your set up works. Easy as pushing a button when you're empty!
Having less gallons set in FORscan would mess up your DTE (distance to empty). It tracks pretty well even though the tank level doesn't move. Some how the computer...
I was scared my gauge wasn't working, but then it finally got low enough to start reading. There is a lot of fuel that is above the sending unit. So it takes a few miles to get it down to a readable level.
The top half of the tank definitely lasts longer than the bottom half.
I posted a couple pictures on page 6 of this thread, comment #83.
My tank sits about 1 5/8" below the frame, and about 1/4" below the transfer case skid.
I'm a bit late on this. Fully loaded LRA tank made the driver side sit about 1/4 inch lower than the passenger side (tremor suspension). I didn't check the ride height before installing the tank.
