You do have to cut the fenders, but you do not have to rivet anything. Again: yes to cutting, no to rivets. I don't have any rivets and the excerpt you posted makes no mention of rivets. I can get pictures of my bumper, but they would look just like the above photos.
The website shows rivets in the cut fenders. I posted pics from the Coastal website showing the rivets. They should explain why they are showing rivets if they are not necessary. I posted all this because there are some people who do not wish to cut their fender which is steel (I posted a pic of a magnet on the fender). Cutting steel is a set up for rust. Here is the photo from the Coastal website, again:

Update:

Winch bumper - I have ordered the JCR Off-road bumper insert for a winch and light bar. Ultimately I love the look of the arb summit bumper but budget and weight moved me to this bumper.

Winch - am ordering a 10,000 lb winch, prob warn

Rear suspension - I am ordering air bags from pac brake, amazing customer service! I know this can be controversial for my use, overlanding but I have done some research and mainly just want to try it and see what happens.

Electronics - I ordered a Bluetooth 8 gang aux beam switch panel.

The installer wants to do a YouTube install video so I will post some installs here when it’s all ready.

By the battery, problem is the winch controller wants to be there as well. I am thinking of putting the winch controller on the opposite side. This is my current dilemma, one has to go passenger side one has to go drivers

I fully agree! I am hoping to tackle it this week before the overland expo. I will post results here as soon as we go full Tetris in there lol

Where are you mounting this?
Ok, as we probably both knew…. There is no room under the hood, soooooo…. The winch controller took up the space I had for that nice looking panel and I had to abandon that idea along with the distribution bars. I put the winch controller on the drivers side in front of the battery with the breakers beside it and the aux beam on the passenger side.

I had a very similar setup to this on my truck, before I decided to change everything up.

Milspec Designs (an Aussie company) makes a plate you can mount things to in front of the battery. You can also mount on top and bottom. Its a great option for creating good space.

I finally settled on a spot to mount the aux beam switch. I put it in the tray on the dash using a magnetic phone mount

Thanks! JCR Offrod, I like the factory feel to it, I would buy it again.

I've been eyeballing this bumper for a while. I like how sleek and that it goes well with the stock steel bumper. But that $1,000 price tag is what is holding me up.

Any regrets or things you did not like? How was the install and how hard was it moving the Adaptive Cruise Control?
