Woah, an Asian guy with an Australian accent. That's so cool. haha. I was working in Texas a few years back and saw an Asian guy who was delivering for FedEx. He had a pretty thick Southern accent and I though that was great too.

Does anyone have an experience with AutoSocks? I'm think about carrying those instead of actual chains. They are DOT approved in WA and are supposed to be a lot easier to use.

I've never heard of these but did a quick search. They look like a good, quick alternative to chains and easy to put on. Plus they include those cool orange gloves! lol

Never tried the autosock or the spider spikes. With clearance issues always carried sub -s low clearance chains but never used them. Just had to get waved through chain control.

Is clearance an issue on the Ranger? I don't plan on getting any chains as Idaho only suggests you use them, not mandatory on a passenger vehicle when conditions are bad.
