This is interesting because I’ve noticed since this thread that my cloth drivers seat is loose! I’m not easy on it though, it could have to do with sitting on it when sweaty or something. Still a bit disappointing nonetheless

Well, I got my new leather seat covers installed yesterday and am not really happy with the way they look. The dealer did a great job installing them, but they still do not look good. The area in the middle of the seat that had the loose, saggy leather now looks pretty good (however, I have only sat on the driver's side while I drove the truck home from the dealer). The back and side bolsters that were smooth and tight on the old seat covers is now bunched up and looks like hell. I have sent photos to Ford Customer Care. I will post their response on here after I hear from them.

Wow I can't believe they even returned it to you looking like that! Sorry you're going through this much trouble on a brand new truck but I would try and see if Ford would let you bring it to a reputable a auto upholster and have them foot the bill. Obviously they can't do the job right and you shouldn't have to accept this sub par quality from them.

In my email to Ford Customer Care last night, I asked if taking it to a local upholstery shop was an option. I am waiting for them to reply today. I will post their response when I get it.

I would call them and ask to speak to a supervisor,I think you'll get farther that way. Your email is just going to get answered by some hourly slug who is going to give you some generic answer. Tell the supervisor that the seats are unacceptable and you either want to have your own shop fix them (at their expense) or you want them to take the truck back. You're not going to get anywhere being nice (you don't have to be a jerk) but tell them that these are the only options you will settle for as you spend very good money on their truck when you had other choices.

I sent the email to the lady in Ford Customer Care that is handling my case. If I do not get a proper response from her, I will escalate the issue. She has been very easy to work with so far and told me some time ago that if I was not happy with the replacement covers, they will continue to work with me until I am happy.

I went through this with my seats last May. Ford did authorize a local shop to refit the existing covers. The local shop stated that the foam material Ford used was too thin so they added or replaced the foam. They were fine for awhile but the bagginess in the seating surface has since returned. Leather material must be stretching. I contacted customer care 12/27 and was told to reopen the issue with the dealer. I am going to wait until I get notice parts are in for the tail light recall and revisit this. I would not be happy at all with the way yours were returned. I owned a Volvo XC90 for 16 years and the leather seats never looked like these. I like the truck but disappointing Ford interior quality!!

What I find strange is some people on here have trucks with nice looking leather seats. How can Ford get some covers that are really nice and some that are total trash? It is as though they have multiple suppliers that obviously have totally different quality standards. Someone in the quality department needs to get this under control. I suppose it could be someone in Ford's Purchasing Department has forgotten whom they work for.

Take your wallet out of your pocket before sitting down
Really? I never drive with a wallet in my back pocket. Do you really think a wallet caused this? Surely you are joking.

I used to drive with a wallet in pocket and after awhile it would dent and sag the leather in that spot , just a thought
Though with such low miles it appears it’s a factory issue imo
