I posted recently in another thread about how the leather in my two bucket seats in my 2020 Lariat Crew Cab is getting loose after only having the truck a few days and at less than 60 miles. I am interested in how the leather in other trucks is holding up. I hoping some of you will post here so I can get a good feel as to how widespread this is. I am attaching a few pictures of the seats in my new truck. I appreciate any feedback you all can give me. Thanks!

I have 3300 miles on mine and they both look good. Have you talked to your dealer about this? With only 60 miles on it I'm sure they will warrantee them.

Thanks, AzScorpion. I took the truck to my dealer for him to have a look. He went through some information from Ford that showed pictures of seat defects that were warrantable and not warrantable and then told me mine were not warrantable. We are not finished discussing this.

That's BS with only 60 miles on it. Hard to tell but it looks like they didn't stretch the leather out tight enough before the final stitching. How is the seat cushion,is it dimpled or firm? Curious if the whole seat is a defect or it's just the material. Either way I would be right in the managers office demanding they replace these. Hope you get this resolved quickly.

I am not certain if the seat cushion is dimpled. I will check more in greater detail tomorrow. Thanks much for the pics of your seats. That gives me some ammo. I am hoping others wii post and maybe share photos of their seats so I have more backup info to take to my dealer or Ford customer care. Thanks!

After looking at my seats a bit more, I don't believe the cushions are dimpled. I believe that at some time Ford changed suppliers of the seats and is now getting seats from a cheaper, poorer quality supplier. I talked with my dealer again today and he suggested I contact Ford Customer Care. He said if he tried to replace them on warranty, Ford would first require him to try to tighten the leather by taking it off and reinstalling the seat covers. He said he did not think that would be a solution and wasn't in favor of tearing apart new seats in a $43,000 brand new truck. He then sent me some pictures of the seats on a brand new Lariat Crew Cab they got in yesterday. The quality is poor. I am attaching them to this post. I beleive this is the new quality standard for seats from Ford. I plan to contact Ford today and will report on here my experience. Those of you waiting on your new 2020 trucks might want to have a really close look at the leather seats when you take delivery.

When was your truck built? Mine was built in late November.

I called Ford Customer Care last evening and was told someone will call me back today sometime. I will post what I find out. I'm hoping others have complained to them as well.

Might need to eat more or less.
May be due to a shape that affects load distribution or load level issue.

I don't have a picture, but my stone colored seats are slightly baggy - nothing I really would have noticed if not for this post.

Thanks for the info. What was the build date of your Lariat? Thanks!
