I dunno what I torque to, I just put the 1/2" Ingersoll Rand 2235 on 3 out of 4, and blast away! =D
LOL, I have used a torque wrench when doing the rear shocks and that setting is pretty close. Max torque is 930 ft-lbs and up to 1,350 ft-lb nut-busting torque! =p
I'll always be able to take off my beefy nuts.
I'm on 3/8" lines so I imagine the published settings are on half inch.
You know you're not going too hard if you don't have either of these situations:
