I ordered a full set of high and low-beam LEDs from Headlight Revolution in April of 2025 (GTR Ultra 2 LED High Beams and CSP Mini LED Low Beams), and installed them without incident. They have fans in their assembly for heat dissipation, which I can hear running when I shut down the truck. Great improvement in brightness and I have been happy with them.

Since the onset of summer in Arizona, I'm sure they are running hot, and I do typically leave my lights on during the day. Recently I noticed that the driver's side headlight appeared to have gone out, and verified it when I arrived home at night that it was indeed unlit.

The next day I pulled the light bulb out and unplugged it - it looked like the bulb was fine, but the plastic plug assembly from the truck appeared to have a brown stain as if from overheating. I opened a ticket with Headlight Revolution and was told I would have to send them a photograph of the light bulb assembly literally broken in half to prove it was nonfunctional, but I see no easy way to do that. While mulling it over I went ahead and reinstalled it - then it started working again. To avoid overheating I turned the lights off during the next couple of days, but then it was out again the other night when I got home.

I have had at least one person tell me that the truck wasn't designed for LEDs, and that I am probably going to keep having this issue - but would love to get some input from the community here. The lights were advertised by HR as being for 2019-2023 Rangers, there is a very good YouTube video showing installation, and I see no damage to the bulb itself. Any ideas or next steps would be welcome!

Add me to that list of people. Switch back to OEM bulbs - problem solved.

Sure, they fit in the socket and housing but that’s about it. If they are discolouring the socket and failing, they will probably burn your Ranger down to its rims. Throw them in the garbage.

I had Auxito for a couple of years until I stripped an adjuster. No issues with the bulb. I switched to AlphaRex Novas. Twice as bright as LED bulbs in the factory fixture and a better pattern.

The TINY ... H11 LED Headlight Bulbs H8 H9 18000LM 6500K Cool White | AUXITO M3S Series ... are the only LED I could find which fit the socket and also allowed me to put on the dust cover. Various sites say thay dont fit the 2020 Ford Ranger Fx4 XLT, but they actually fit perfeclty. Plenty bright and appear to aim tru. Clean cut line and I havent had anyone flash me when driving past for 6 months. I only run them at night and only for 6 months so I can't attest to durability. $36 on eBay, $23 on Amazon.

My factory LED headlights are starting to delaminate. I'd want to take them of and do tge whole refinishing thing to squeeze a few more years but swapping them out for an aftermarket set may not be out of the question.

The more plug n' play the better although I've read some heated debate on which are legally DOT and which are reliable. Or maybe just buy replacement OEM.

I went with AlphaRex Nova. I was blown away by how bright they are. Nice clean cut off. I have never been flashed. First photo is low beam, second, high.

Phillips canada makes a set of led drop ins made for a halogen housing. Legal in Canada, not US. I bought them on ebay. Clean sharp cut offs, I live in the US.

Good sir, what would these drop ins be for halogen? Asking for a friend.
