I have a 2019 Lariet with 96+K miles (12 miles when I bought) and am looking at the 2025. I have had very few issues (worst being the hose dropping into the fan at 75 mph dropping me to 15 mph instantly) and the few issues all covered by warranty. Had a poor experience with Citrus Ford in Ontario California recently and reading the doom and gloom stories on here have me considering going with a 25 RR. Do I need it NO. Can I afford it, yes. Is it prudent for me being recently retired no. My transmission is really smooth after EGR Cooler, Transmission heating/cooling valve replacement at Citrus Ford a DPFE valve change at my local (Ron Dupratt Ford) within the past two weeks. Truck runs great, thinking about jumping when all is running great or holding and paying future repairs.
Just rambling to like hearted folks.

Buy new shocks/intake/exhaust/etc instead. Helps scratch the itch
+1 more vote for this.
Especially if the truck is paid off already.. get a couple nice things for your current truck and let your bank account gain weight ?…
The Ranger Raptor really is tempting.. wish it had the tow cap the 5G’s and 6G’s have, but there is always a trade off somewhere.
Out of curiosity which color RR would you be most interested in?
Personally I’d like Ox White or the HotPepper Red.

RR are nice, but I saw a red GMC Canyon AT4X today that really had me looking...

I got this itch myself recently.

I ended up keeping my current Ranger since nothing I looked at was good enough to make me want to switch.

My thoughts HERE

You get the new 2.3 with dual port/direct injection with the 2025 assuming you don’t go with the Raptor.
Oh wait, 6G has the Mustang - like dual injectors? The tuning potential will be darn impressive...

Oh well, my 5G is paid for and quick so I'm good ?

It is paid off, paid cash at purchase. Will pay cash if I purchase new. I have the 2019 Hot Pepper Red (In my avatar) I get constant comments on the color of the truck.

Well you sir get to do whatever you want.. lucky fellow.
honestly I’d have just as hard of a time trying to choose.. I’m sentimentally attached to my Ranger Tremor.. so I wouldn’t give it up to get a RR.

One thing I noticed on my Bronco Sport loaner was an amazing rear view camera when in reverse. I am an old school fire fighter and still look in mirrors and over my shoulder but, wow the image in the rear view camera was impressive.

Bronco sports are how I’d expect the escape to look like as it got newer models ?.. it went from a neat little blocky suv to whatever crossover looking thing it is now..
