I was mocked for this before, but on my 2020 Ranger there are two areas I have a bad fit. It is the hood and the tailgate. They are both aluminum. Everything else is steel right? Could that have something to do with it? I mean it seems crazy, but it is odd to me.@Stumblios noticed that there is a fairly large gap between the bed and tailgate when it is closed. To me it seems like a minor annoyance if you have a tonneau cover, but what do you think?

At least for the tailgate it's not really due to the difference in materials, it's due to the actual mold that they used for the tailgate, it's just an extremely poor fit to our beds and has been this entire generation.I was mocked for this before, but on my 2020 Ranger there are two areas I have a bad fit. I tried the tuxedo tailgate seal after my tonneau cover (roll and lock) was installed. It did a pretty good job except for the angled, wider gap at the top where the tailgate and the bed meet. A noticeable amount of water from the car wash gets in at that spot. I might try doubling up the seal at those two spots. There’s quite a big gap in the tailgate. Has anyone tried one of the seals available?
I spent 4 months in contact with headquarters and their California rep. Nothing for our Rangers that they have currently will fit. They also said they’re not going to be doing one for US NA Rangers. I was seriously thinking of attempting to try to make one molding the corner pieces. Still need a gap flap for when tailgate is open. Or all kinds of bed junk messes up your seal.Aeroklas on the way.....hope the Aussies have it figured out!

My only 95 Ranger had a much tighter gap. I don't know WTF fored was thinking. You can see lots of daylight through it and if parked nose down in the rain it pours in. Terrible engineering. Ford should provide a proper weather strip made for this truck. Just one more thing that is a no brainer which was ignored. WTF were they thinking? Especially if taken off road. Dust would easily seep in.I just went out and checked mine and yes there is a pretty good vertical gap on the side, but it is quite tight on the bottom. Will much dust get in ?, I,ll let you know when a tonneau cover comes out!
Yeah, it's a joke really, but I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.My only 95 Ranger had a much tighter gap. I don't know WTF fored was thinking. Oh please. Forums are for people to post stuff. You know what I hate more? Forums where threads just disappear. There is an HOA (a whole other topic) where posts just go away. Gone. Poof. Total BS.
