Absolutely loving both the Ranger super cab and the OvrLnd popup camper! Renogy solar and controller, Dometic fridge, & a simple build. Really happy with the super cab long bed & didn't need the 4 doors or back seat. We upgraded from an Xterra and rooftop tent - 9 years and a lot of use - and...
I used this tailgate gap seal kit - has worked very well. Also caulked the front bed joint gap, stuffed plastic wrap inside the front bed pillars, and taped (temporary) over the bed holes with 3m Tough duct tape. Huge improvement!
Tailgate gap seal...
Hey Lazynorse, thanks for your note! We are absolutely loving the OvrLnd & think it's a great choice over the Project M and any of the wedges. We got pretty much all the options and are really glad: windows all 4 sides, side hatch, slider window, Barn Doors, 2-way fan, roof rails which hold...
We went with a popup camper shell from OvrLnd Camper Shells out of Flagstaff, AZ. It weighs in at about 300 pounds with extra windows and awning. I will be doing a minimal build out, keeping everything as light as possible. Loving it a whole lot! https://campovrlnd.com/ The owner broke the...
I averaged 18.8 on a 2000 mile desert trip, a bunch dirt, mostly pavement. Stock XLT FX4, but with a pop up camper shell that is a pretty big wind catcher. I'm pretty happy with that - it's quite a bit better than what I got with my old Xterra and a roof top tent.
I ordered it from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/ESI-Ultimate-Tailgate-Taper-Ranger/dp/B07YF5BL8M/ref=sr_1_8?crid=2EJ5KRXU2QJI8&dchild=1&keywords=esi+tailgate+seal&qid=1603549271&sprefix=Esi+t%2Caps%2C202&sr=8-8
So far, it's worked great - 8 days of Utah dust and it did ok, I also found a...
Well - by golly - I was today years old when I found mine. Under the jack and jack handle packet, driver's side passenger seat cubby - Super Club Cab. Thanks for the post and saving me looking it up in the manual!! Grins!
I am 3 nights into our new OvrLnd Popup Topper and loving it a whole bunch. After 10 years with a bomber rooftop tent, this is like luxury! Haven't started the build yet, but gonna keep it simple and modular.
I had 10 great years with a Howling Moon RTT from South Africa - yup, 4-5 years before RTTs became a thing here - Loved it a whole bunch! Super quality, bomber canvas, and tough! Ran it on top of a 2006 Xterra. Now we have gone in a different direction - OvrLnd Popup camper shell on top of...
I ran 3 days in the desert with a new Popup Camper & picked up a fair amount of dust, but wasn't as bad as I expected. I'll be ordering this tailgate seal: https://tailgateseal.com/FordRanger2019.html
I've had a South African Howling Moon RTT for about 10 years mounted on a 2006 Xterra - well before they started being made in the US. I've probably spent well over a year sleeping in it. It's been one of the best purchases I've ever made - but it fit my style of camping / photo tripping...
I have the 20 and 10 liter NATO cans, and am glad to have them. But they should be outside in the bed or on a rack, not inside a shell or topper - they aren't super air tight. Got mine at Gear Heads in Moab. This 20 is for water, but the gas can fits fine. After 16 years of super life, the...
