No, they just said that was not an issue. It was probably a 1/2" up the twist on the dipstick.
? sounds sketchy. Did they actually do an oil sample to determine if fuel was a factor? Or would they even share that with you?

UPDATE: They called yesterday and said Ford gave them the ok to replace the engine. Its not clear on what changed, but I am happy its being addressed quickly and the dealership has been very pleasant to deal with. Two weeks until I have it back.

I don't think they did a test on the oil. They said it didn't have fuel in the oil after only being in the shop and hour or two.

So crazy story, similar thing just happened to my 19. Going to get it towed to the dealer. Checked the oil and it was crazy high, changed every 7500. Stay tuned.
I just got a call from the dealer and turned out the issue was the opposite, almost no oil in the truck. I have changed my oil every 7500 miles at the dealer doing the inspection and the last oil change was less than 6 months, 6000 miles ago. They are going to change the oil and want me to come back in 1000 miles to see how much oil the trucks eating. If it's still consuming a large amount they said they would put a claim in to replace the engine.

I was going to buy this truck out at the end of my lease but now I'm having second thoughts...

Update, update:

Dealer called again and said after changing the oil the knock was even worse. They went ahead and submitted a claim for replacement to Ford and they approved a new engine assembly. Said the new engine is a couple of days out and should be ready to pickup next Friday. Ended up eating 4 quarts of oil since February.

UPDATE: New engine installed and the truck was delivered to my house on the 3rd. Official problem was excessive wear on cylinder #1 rod bearing and the bearing slide up (spun bearing). The dealer was great to work with and it was completed pretty quickly.

Well I have been out of the conversation for a while. Traded my 2019 FX4(had oil rise issue)for a 2022 Tremor. Was good the 1st 5000 miles. Now it’s been 1500 mile since the oil change and it is between the overfull hole and the twist. Talk with dealership(same one that was dealing with my 19)tonight and he told me to call him back in a few days for an appointment. Here we go again. But question , doesn’t the Bronco have the same motor? Do they have the issue too?

Same motor also used in the Explorer and the Mustang.

Winter is the worst season for fuel dilution. Mine was great since April 22 when I took delivery. Right up until cold season kicked in. Haven’t been putting alot of miles on it and warming the truck up because of cold. My oil level is up just under 1/8” on dipstick. I’m not worried about it because of circumstances. Idling and cold engine are the culprit. Inherent issue in current production turbo engines.

Being I have been through this once. At what point on the stick should I start to worry about it. I try to drive it a little harder in the winter to see if it will help. At the oil change I was about a 1/8" above the hash mark and 1500 miles later I am above the overfull hole and closer to the twist. I really didn't want to go back to the dealership but not sure what to really do. I figured at least they could document the issue and hopefully check the HPFP & injectors for leaks.

I plan to drive it till warmer weather (April) then do an oil change and watch it through the summer . About to head south to Florida next week so I’ll check it before we head out and monitor it till we get back in April

If you are traveling from Michigan to Florida, I predict your oil level it is going to go back down with your long drive where the oil gets fully up to temperature for numerous hours.

My 2021 Tremor only does it during cold months. My second oil change was in a warmer month last year and I changed it again before winter cool off happened. No oil rise on that one. This change I've driven primarily in cold weather and level grew from max fill about 1/4". Hasn't risen any further in past 1k miles.
