Mid to late 2022 is when they started switching to metal fenders. Maybe around march?
My April built ranger has steel fenders.

Tin Foil probably went way up in price like everything else, so they decided steel was cheaper.Maybe they just ran out of aluminum foil, you know, the real thin stuff, to build fenders out of ...
The switch on spindles was mid 2020. I have a Nov 2020 build and it has steel spindles and aluminum fenders, tailgate, hood and bumpersThis is legit.
I believe it's about the same timeframe as when the spindles also went from aluminum to steel.
No, the hood, front fenders and tailgate are aluminum, well, were.Huh? I thought all the body parts on Rangers (2019's anyway) were steel save the tailgate?
Yes, during the re-negotiation of NAFTA as the USMCA, the U.S. placed a hefty tariff on aluminum from Canada. I think there was also a 25% tariff on aluminum from China at the same time. It just wasn’t worth it for U.S. manufacturers to import it and then pay the extra, so they switched to steel where it made sense for them to do so.Is this legit? I found this while searching for TSBs. I may have missed this, haven't been on in a while. I have a 2021, but the fenders are definitely aluminum.

No, it means if you look at your Ranger's aluminum fender wrong it will probably leave a dent....Does that mean my light weight Ranger is faster and gets better mileage?![]()

. . . and your fenders always look real nice at you.. . . I always look real nice at my fenders.

My steel fenders are paper thin, I can bend em with my little pinky finger so I don't think theres any difference other than speed of corrosion if the paint came off.No, it means if you look at your Ranger's aluminum fender wrong it will probably leave a dent....
Medium size bug strike would likely destroy it.
