I am at a loss on why some of you do not have the power distribution screen with your FX4 since it should be available and working.

I do have the 302A package but that should not effect anything with the FX4 package. The 302A package adds the following features:

• Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror
• Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel and Shifter
• Power-Folding Sideview Mirrors w/Power Glass
• SiriusXM® Satellite Radio

• SYNC® 3
  ● Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC)
  ● Enhanced Voice Recognition Communications and Entertainment System
  ● 8" LCD Touchscreen in Center Stack with swiping and pinch-to-zoom capabilities
  ● Pinch-to-zoom capability included with available Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System ● AppLink®
  ● Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM
  ● 911 Assist®
  ● Smart Charging USB ports – two (2)
• 8-Way Power Driver and Passenger Heated Seats w/Power Lumbar

The FX4 is a separate package and should not be effected by the 302A package. I didn't look at any 2019 FX4 Rangers so maybe there was a change with the 2020 and newer trucks.

Yeah, I have FX4 and 302A as well, so I bet you're right...it is probably a 2020 and newer thing. I haven't tried enabling it with my FORScan yet, but I probably will at some point just out of curiosity.

FYI, my 301A package has all of those things except for the power seats and the manual sliding rear window.

Hmmmm it' starting to look like the power distribution screen wasn't available on the 2019 FX4. There are at least three of you with 2019 FX4's that don't have that screen available.

I’ve also got a 2019 FX4 301A and I’ve never seen that power distribution screen before. It’s almost certainly only for 2020 and above.

On a different note, has anyone used FORScan to set it so the driving lights are just the parking lights on the non-Lariat model? I’d love to be able to only have the amber park lights used for DRL but whenever I tried to turn them off in FORScan I get an error.

If any Ranger has the power distribution screen that is a mistake from the factory. It is useless with a conventional 4x4, it would be like have the heated steering wheel icon on your sync screen, doesn't do anything.

The power distribution screen works just fine on my 2020 XLT FX4. Granted no one ever said that it shows power distribution to each wheel because it does not. What the power distribution screen DOES show is power distribution between the front axle and rear axle.

I think his point is just that since Ranger is a basic, part-time 4WD vehicle, the front and rear axles will always be split 50/50 if it's 4H or 4L. 100% goes to both rear wheels when in 2H. The Ranger doesn't have an "intellegent" 4WD system to try and allocate power to specific wheels. Traction control may apply a brake on one wheel to try and keep it from slipping, but that's about it.

My wife's Edge has the same screen, but it is an "intelligent AWD" system. You do see it apply different power levels to specific wheels when driving in slippery conditions or driving aggressively.

So while the Ranger's power distribution screen does "work", it just doesn't really tell you anything of importance.

It's not a fluke. Despite what everyone thinks, even without an "intelligent" 4x4 system, power isn't always a 50/50 split between front/rear, and mine would regularly show a variance between them.

I do agree the screen ultimately isn't super useful, but it's not entirely useless either.

The Ranger does not have a center differential. It has a transfer case which is a big-ass chain connecting two sprockets together. It is literally incapable of sending more power to one or the other.

Well I have a 21 Tremor and it doesn't have it.

The power distribution between the front and rear axles is a fixed 50/50 split. It's always going to be 50/50 because there is no center differential that would allow the torque distribution between the front and rear axles to vary like an AWD vehicle. That being the case it is a useless display and any Ranger that has it, is a mistake on Fords part

Well then you have something broken in your transfer case or more likely since the display has no input it is just randomly showing numbers.

I doubt that I have anything broken inside my transfer case unless it came broken from the factory. The power distribution screen has worked as it should since day one when I first bought the truck.

But hey you do you and I'll do me. We will just have to agree to disagree. And if you can't do that, then I don't know what to tell you.
