Maybe because you miss typed Disable? ?

There are several methods:

1-Forscan
2-plug in night light in 120 outlet
3-disconnect one of the negative terminal...you'll have to search
4-drive only in S mode
5-expensive OBD module to what can be done free or cheap

Sid, I forgot everything I did in Forscan myself lol. I'd have to figure it out all over again.

The search function here leaves a lot to be desired. I've found it easier to do a Google search using "ranger5g.com" and then the search term I'm looking for. Anyway if you are talking about the fake engine noise thing here are some threads I found:

I've listened for it but I can't hear it. Then again I have tinnitus and don't hear many things including my wife, which pisses her off to no end.
I have an STX with the base radio, is the engine sound maybe only with the upgraded radio?

I hear it when I'm hard on the throttle but it doesn't bother me.
