I have a '19 Lariat and need to get my climate back on screen. Can someone please post the correct changes?
Go into the APIM module (not the asbuilt) one. Your dropdowns should look like mine (the climate section only). Im pretty sure it was climate control repeater, and both climate icons.

what exactly forscan is and how it works. I've never had a computerized vehicle really.
ForScan is an AWESOME scan tool for Ford Lincoln Mercury vehicles with OBD 2. It will give you a lot of factory tools from the factory scan tools and if you understand electronics enough and arent too afraid to mess with it then you can change a lot off setting and add different equipment.

Like you just plug it in and it's hooked up to your computer?

I really don't get this stuff. On one hand it looks like you're programing a myspace page then it looks like rocket science to me.

Frenchy pretty much nailed it. You plug in an OBD2 tool and hook it to a PC. Open the forscan software and follow the settings that can be changed in the Forscan Wiki on here.

Some basic things are changing what lights are used for daytime running lights, disabling the auto start stop, disabling the double honk with keyless vehicles, change the Ford splash screen on the radio, calibrate the speedometer for larger tires.

Just make sure you back up all the modules that you change or you will be like me and have to keep a running tally in a spreadsheet.

Thanks. That's probably a little beyond what I can safely do.

Whiskey, check out this video. It will help you out. Decidedly not for the person that is not computer savy or not just extra brave.

Anyone notice a difference in the Hex code for disabling the IPC Welcome Screen affecting anything when using either a 4 or 6 in the hex code?

Forscan now has the ability to change this with Enable/Disable option menu, however instead of xxxX xxxx 4 (Disabled) it has a 6 (Disabled) in its place when you view the Hex line 720-03-02 after Disable.

Does the 4 disable the "Blue Sky Background" and the the block animation on start up and shut down?

I can confirm that with the Enable/Disable menu the "Blue Sky" and block animation are removed on start up and shut down.

From RCMUSTANG Disable IPC Welcome Screen

": 720-03-02 (2013+ MY) xxxX xxxx 4 (Disabled)
Note: No Blue Sky Background on IPC when getting into vehicle"

Menu option in FORSCAN: uses 6 as a value in the hex code

APIM 7D0-04-01 xxxx - xx0x - xxxx worked on my '19 Lariat when I lost it after updating to Sync 3.4. I believe there is also a configuration change in the APIM module rather than changing the As Built Hex Code.

I tried to save a few bucks and ordered a $13 Elm OBD2 MS/HS cable on Amazon. I could NOT get it to communicate with the truck properly or behave as it should. So I ordered the one recommended by the FORScan folks. The $50 OBDLinkEX also from Amazon. I had ZERO issues and was able to disable ASS and switch to Bambi Mode. Of course it is possible I got a bad cable initially but I did not want to mess with it. There may be a few other parameters I'll look at changing but for now I am loving it.

I saw that today when I was adding the street signs. There were a few options, which ones did you use to turn on?

If i remember correctly I had to change a few digits to get the off road screen and Bambi mode to work. As for the terrain management that was as simple as going into the ips and enabling it.
