I mean..did you read through the thread? Several of is went mushy again after doing Only the forscan bleed. You have to do a traditional bleed as well, AFTER the forscan bleed. Don’t know what “wont display the procedure” means.

WTF. Yes, I read the thread. Did you read my question? It had nothing to do with a physical bleed. It was that Forscan isn't displaying the procedure. Looking for some assistance. Not shitty childish responses. Just don't reply for God's sake particularly of you don't even understand the question.

When you load Forscan, don't load a profile, create a new one and do the scan again. Sometimes the saved profiles "forget" about modules. I'd do a physical bleed though, in addition to the ABS procedure. I was too chicken to do them both at the same time, but I did the ABS one and a few days later I did a physical bleed (of about 1 reservoir of fluid) with the help of my 9 year old son. It definitely helped, but did not make the brakes feel as good as my other vehicles (which are nothing special).

Thank you. Thought I tried not using a saved profile, but probably did. I've had this happen before, but per usual failed to leave myself a clue for the next time I encountered it. Thanks again!

Apparently cluelessness is your mantra...not my quote...not my message...not my question...try learning a lesson from t4thfavor on how to act like an adult when responding online...maybe take a look back at your posts some time and see what an asshat you look like in damn near every one of your posts. It's obnoxious and really drags a great forum like this down.

...and yep, I expect yet another childish response....

I make liberal use of the block function to avoid the various trolls on this forum. Makes for a better experience. There are some really great people here don’t let the jerks drive you away.

Dropped my Ranger off for The Works and asked to have the brakes bled. The service advisor said he had never had a new Ranger with mushy brake complaint. He said he needs to really evaluate this and see how warranty plays in. I said one or two pumps and they firm right up. I don't care about warranty, I know it should cover this, but I want a firm brake pedal.

Fascinating! I was shocked how mushy my brakes are, and then jumped in my 8 year old Altima before I sold it, and hurt my neck because they are firm!!! I am very curious if I want to do this. . . .

Precisely why I did mine! Would drive the Bride's '16 F150 and would almost put us through the windshield! Even worse, my converted to disc '73 Bronco had significantly better peddle response - so had to do this procedure for safety...

I have read here where some have followed the Forscan (a group of Russians techs cracked the Ford code and developed this software so getting it is next to impossible now) procedure as directed in the software and had success... If your brake peddle travel is enough, Ford Service has a notice or something that they will do a "bleed" procedure according to my service writer. They are a 300 mile round trip for me out here in the high country of NM, so did it all myself. Key is getting the correct brake fluid as this stuff is an European spec to make it work with the ABS and other newer systems the are our brakes now. I posted specifics somewhere back in this tread. Good Luck!

Well they bled the brakes and said they got some air out. My first warranty item. They feel much improved, but I think they were even better when I first did the ABS brake bleed. Maybe at least this will be permanent.

Looking at some of the OBD2 diagnostic tools on Amazon, some say they have the brake bleed function. Would this be the same function that Forscan uses? I don’t have Forscan, or a personal laptop so I was looking at one of these tools as an option.

I would probably skip this and go right to the dealer if your brakes are mushy. I did the Forscan brake bleed not long after I bought the truck. Felt good at first then it slowly went back to mushy. Asked the dealer about it, they said they confirmed the complaint, bled the brakes under warranty and indeed got some air out. So far they still feel pretty good.

I couldn't drive my truck for nearly 3 months, and when I came back, the brakes were really mushy. To the point that it felt very uncomfortable and unsafe at first. I don't remember them being like that for the entire year I drove it.

I watched @2Xero21's video (Trevor) and did a simple FORScan ABS priming and reset cycle, without touching the bleeder screws.

Brakes are still mushy I'm afraid...

Should I look into doing it again with the the bleeder screws open?
Need to look into it but not something I've ever done, and I only have a shared carport, so might might be simpler to take it to the garage I bought it from since my truck is 15 months old and under warranty.

Thanks for your input.
