So it has been over five years since I first sought information about my '19 Ranger XLT on these forums. The kind contributions and advice from forum members solved my drivability issues with the tip about the DPFE sensor. After almost three years of frustration with Ford being monumentally disinterested in even looking at the problem, instead trying to gaslight me into thinking the problem was in my head. $18 part solved three years of frustration.

So yesterday, with 60K miles on the clock, I traded it in. I kept the bed cover to sell, and while I will miss driving the Ranger, it was time to let go.

Thanks again for the help.

It's to bad Ford dragged you through the mud for something so trivial as an $18.00 part. But that's corporate BS now and sadly most do this. Hopefully your new vehicle will serve you well for many years to come and yes, tell us what you bought. You can still stick around for some fun and laughs and good luck with your new ride!

I got a Ram 1500 with the SST engine (Hurricane I-6 with twin turbos). We intend to buy an RV that needs more of a towing capacity than the Ranger had. I looked at Ford F150s but couldn't find what I wanted as a reasonable price.

Pop in once in a while Bill.

What did you get to replace the Ranger?
Pics are a requirement!
You've been here long enough to know that 😉
I'm sure it's an awesome ride!

Tell me about it. I moved on from Ranger in June and bought a 2024 F150 even with all the incentives it was very expensive so much so that I no longer have a left testicle.🥵

Good luck with the new rig Bill. Try not to faint when putting in a full tank of gas for the first time.

Their initial offer was $19000, which I balked at and got them up to $20,500. With the tax break on the Georgia ad valorum tax for trading it, that figure was actually $21,800. I had an offer from Carvanna at $21,200 and KBB offered $22,500, but it was just easier to trade it.

Those sales managers were on it like a pack of dogs fighting over a piece of meat. I figured it paid for the Weather Tech floor liners because they don't stink.

Nice looking truck! Needs change and sometimes a vehicle issues and the manufacture response is just not worth the fight. Stick around, there are quite a few people on here who no longer have rangers.
Times 2 !!!!!
Sold the Ranger for a larger more comfy Ford Expedition to tow with.....but I'm staying here.....lot's of fun, good people, very entertaining. Expy forum has good info but is kinda "boring".....no back n forth kibbling....no "FUN" !!!!!
