Looking at the eBay feedback for that engine cover kit. Everyone seems happy with their purchase with many mentioning the quality and fit.
Looks like this dealer sold over 200 for less than $100. Then as his supply dwindled, he shot for the moon by raising the price to $240.
At this point the listing says he is down to his last 1.
Yea, the 2019 Lariat Ranger engine cover used to be cheap. I bought mine in late 21 and my stepdad's 21 Lariat didn't have one..., so I bought him one in early 22. Both of them were less than $100 shipped with hardware, from the dealer... Now, they're just too ridiculous in price and I refuse to pay close to $300 for that piece of foam... There's a member one here, that finds a decent used one and sells them. I think he's sold 1-3, affordably, in the last few months?

This is what I plan to do, cheaper than the OEM option. If my Ceracote guy can't match the Cactus Grey, I'll just leave it black.
Any paint shop can get the OEM paint for an exact color match. Mine is painted and clear coated.

Yea, I've done a few things to my truck, LOL! The engine cover post is actually the last post on my build thread, page 22 ;)

Yes, it looks like you had to cut away some of the metal. Perhaps get it repainted and it will look great. Here's a pic from the JCR site:

he, @subquark, really enjoyed it in the summer when he cruised to the dump in his SPEEDOS :^)
Why run the AC and destroy the planet and bum out Greta? Just wear a speedo and be cool!

No one at the dump seems to mind. =D

Yep, I plan to spray it with wrinkle black when the weather gets a little nicer. The "powdercoat" they used is extremely thin, that's why I wasn't entirely sure it was powdercoated and not just rattle can spray painted?

Rattle can should be fine. The stuff I've had powder coated lately is less durable (or adherent) than rattle can.

I waited a year in hopes a good after market design for our engine covers would have dropped but I guess I am stuck paying 300$ for a piece of foam. Hopefully few saved spark plugs and she'll pay herself off lol

How is this supposed to 1. quiet engine noise and 2. keep water out of the spark plugs? It's sheet metal with holes. And why does it have to say Caution Hot? Can't possibly get that hot.
Won't do much for noise unless you add dense foam layers or rubber to the underside.

It will get hot cause it's just metal, and will get hot like everything else in the engine bay. Touch the engine hoist bracket after you let the truck sit for a couple hours after a long drive.

The only metal to metal contact is a couple of standoffs. The hoist bracket is a much more solid piece with more contact and little air exposure. But maybe if the engine is hot with no air flow, like sitting without moving like you said, maybe it can get a little warm. It's probably being overly cautious.

I almost bought the JCR aftermarket metal cover but their site claims it can take five weeks to even get ready to ship. I went with OEM foam.
