  1. One year later with my Ranger at 8000 miles on the odometer.

I put 6,000 miles in 1 trip during July. I can't imagine only putting on 8,000 in a year?
  2. $1000 for front Bilstein 5100's?

Exactly, shocks will dampen the rebound and compression but without springs they cannot raise a truck. If there is any minor lift due to more gas pressure that will slowly be mitigated and the vehicle will return to stock height.
  3. $1000 for front Bilstein 5100's?

Agreed, I don't see how swapping shocks would raise the vehicle at all?
  4. Traded in the Fully loaded Tremor

I put more than 4,700 on 1 trip this year.
  5. Eliminate the muffler!

I enjoy the peace and quiet of having a muffler equipped vehicle.
  6. !

Everything now days is insanely priced, go to the Ford site and price out a loaded Maverick Lariat, damn near $40k and it's not going to do half the stuff the Raptor will.
  7. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Did you attach the lead dropping down to anything? I didn't like the idea of it just dangling there so made a small L bracket which I bolted on and then used a zip tie to hold the wire. Just gives me a little piece of mind.
  8. What did you do to your Ranger today?

seems like a lot of work in order to replace 2 shocks? I just swapped to Fox 2.0's and I kid you not it took me maybe 10 minutes total. I didn't use and jacks, didn't touch the spare, etc. Broke the bolts loose and used my cordless ratchet to remove the bolts, tossed the shocks on, compressed...
  9. Running a Winch in the Rust Belt

I went with an exposed winch and so far zero issues. The Westin mount is extremely stout & so long as you keep it clean should last a long time.
  10. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Ordered new struts & shocks, went with the Fox 2.0 adjustable strut units. Should be in my greedy mitts in 2-3 days.
  11. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Added the Westin bull bar to my winch tray, didn't like thge stock mounting so made some mods and dropped it down 2" and pushed it inward about 1.5".
  12. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I added a small bracket to support the wiring as I didn’t care for it just hanging there.
  13. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Added a 12 volt connection in the bed. Ford supplies power near but is too cheap to finish the job unless you cough up $$$ for a lariat.
  14. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Don't trust a shop to actually know how to use a Road Force balancer just because they have one. Developed a vibration in my Mustang so took the wheels into a Ford dealer who has a Road Force unit. The attached picture shows what their tech did. No way were the tires ever matched with the high...
  15. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Sorry but snake oil it is.
  16. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Finally got around to checking trans oil level, wasn’t horrible but needed about 3/4 quart to be where it’s supposed to be. It may be my imagination but my wife confirmed that it seems to be shifting better which I wouldn’t think such a small amount would do? I also didn’t go from underneath...
  17. Anyone else think the next gen trucks (4G ranger, new Taco, new Canyon) are WAY overpriced with crap gas milege ?

I got that excuse the other day at Menards, looking for some siding for my garage & was told they couldn't get it because of covid...I didn't even bother asking any further questions. Funny thing is another Menards about an hour north of me had everything I needed. Its all BS excuses.
  18. Anyone else think the next gen trucks (4G ranger, new Taco, new Canyon) are WAY overpriced with crap gas milege ?

Assuming tech packages are similar why does Porsche cost 3-4-5 times what a Prius costs? Build costs are probably similar, they both utilize an engine and it doesn't take longer or all that many more parts to produce one over the other. Why does a ZL1 Camaro cost almost 3 times what a basic V6...
  19. Anyone go on a cruise ship?

I don't know about other cruise lines but Carnival limits everyone to 15 alcoholic drinks & it doesn't matter if you have the package or are buying them individually.
  20. Tuning and improved mileage...anyone?

Tire size has been adjusted for.
