Congrats! You got the last one in stock looks like. They explained that their supplier was errantly showing them available to order.

Hopefully Ford will make more one day or perhaps an aftermarket supplier will come up with a foam solution for sound deadening.

My cover made mine entirely too quiet so I installed the MBRP catback exhaust.

No more problems with quiet. ?

It's actually a bit too ricy so I have to do something about that.

Well, after Nixpar cancelled my order, I checked with a dealer in my area (30 min) drive, and they had one in stock. ($61.00 for Cover) and ($15.00 for Studs & Nuts) picked up in store, so no shipping cost ($35.00 for cover alone)
Picked them up and asked about cover - asked if more were available, told him I would guarantee them all sold-if he did
He told me that this one was all he had - it is popular item, a lot of people asking for it. I just happened to obtain one that was a Job Order cancel - I'm assuming the TSB-IDK
So, I tried anyways - for the rest of you-still looking

Perhaps Ford thought they are doing owners a favor because some are reportedly "discouraged" by engine covers, some speculated that the disappearance of tranny dipsticks was to discourage people from wrongly measuring, link worth opening if only to see pic of a porsche engine cover, so elegant .

With so many people completely befuddled by a manual transmission nowadays, the lack of an ability to do engine repair/maintenance is not at all surprising.

I drove sticks for many yrs, wife didn't and I took on the challenge on trying to teach her and failed, but a friend of hers with apparently unbounded patience stepped up and succeeded, so wife drove our datsun 510, Saabs, Honda Prelude Taurus SHO, etc. She got quite good at it......eventually.
