With so many people completely befuddled by a manual transmission nowadays, the lack of an ability to do engine repair/maintenance is not at all surprising.Perhaps Ford thought they are doing owners a favor because some are reportedly "discouraged" by engine covers, link worth opening if only to see pic of a porsche engine cover, so elegant .
