Does anyone know what this is? Came loose and found it resting in my skid plate.

The threaded rod tells me it's some kind of tool.

No idea what though.

Is the head plastic or metal?
Are there any numbers on it?

The sad part is that it looks familiar, but I cannot recall where it goes or if it even is installed on the Ranger - might be a Friday (End of shift) let's see how long it takes for the owner to find this, rattle.

I am thinking a Guide, Support, Bushing type of hardware.
Where something rubber sits in the cup.
But at this point - I'm STUMPED

Can’t find any numbers on it. The cup part is rubber.

I’ve heard it may be a drain bolt type thing near the oil filter.

After further review, it is determined to not be the part I originally suggested. We have a successful coach’s challenge and the call on the ice is overturned…

It kind of looks like a an oil diversion channel to divert the oil filter drainage away from running down the front differential housing. My 2005 F150 had something like that but never worked well..
