Disable fake engine noise

I checked with my audiologist and found out my hearing aids will generate a little white noise to counteract certain frequency sounds. That's what I'm hearing when the enhanced noise gets louder. I hope disabling the enhancement is an easy task.

Good luck with the dealer. Please report back if you are successful. There are a lot of people here that want it disabled, and so far I haven't heard of any success in doing it.

I have been working with forscan for few months to get this solved. They reached out to me last night with another test version to try. I will test it out this weekend and report back.

I don't have my hopes up. The problem is that the Engine sound enhancement (ESE) or Fake engine noise is controlled by the DACMC module. In the ranger the DACMC is integral to the ACM module based on some technical service manuals I have found. So the DACMC doesn't come up as a separate module on the canbus network, therefore not configurable.
BUT
Im hoping the DACMC module configuration data is combined into the ACM module, making the previous paragraph irrelevant. This will be the saving grace.

Don't know if this has been posted before. This is the ESE on the focus rs that COBB tuning got to play without driving. ?

I've asked multiple times but they've never replied about the quick tap turn signal counts. Can you ask them about that one as well?

I have done research on this before. Ive found that its an issue on the 2014+ focus, escape, and now rangers. Something about forscan can't figure out how to get it work with central config.
F-series, fusion, taurus etc is no prob.
Known spreadsheets refer to 724-01-01 in the SCCM BUT the value to change, well in my ranger atleast, is xxxx-x0xx-xxxx. Which is supposed to be 1 flash but mine flashes 3x i beleive. Changing the value in mine resulted in no change to flash count.
I kinda gave up on it, and from what ive found I think the forscan team did too. Hopefully the ESE doesnt have the same fate.

I ended up replacing the factory amp to get rid of the noise. I noticed it from the first test drive. Didn't bother me until I installed subs.

None of the Forscan patches worked for me.

Same, the sub makes it almost like you're driving over rumble strips. Didn't care or hardly notice it before the sub unless I was trying.

You have B&O system? NonB&O systems have the amp inside of the ACM.

Forscan figured it out! I don't know how they do it but the fake noise is finally disabled.
My god, Forscan is part of the reason I buy fords. ??

I will let them know that the test build they sent me worked and then I assume they will roll out an update in the future to include it in the main build.

Couple things:
- I checked the as-built after I disabled via the config section. And if I remember correctly, what changed was 727-01-01 xxxx-"X"xxx-xxx. Mine subtracted two when it was disabled. Went from a "3" to a "1". That was the only thing I noticed, I may have to double check. I would probly just wait till they add it to the main config section though.

- Mine (an XLT) does not have ANC (active noise canceling) as far as I know, mine stock shows disabled in all the ANC menus in the test build, and also shows ANC mic as disabled/unequipped. Lariats may be different and B&O system may be different, I don't know.
I do know that I didn't have a mic in the headliner, atleast i didn't see one, when I had it down to put in sound deadening on the roof of the cab. In other fords the ANC mic is in the headliner for the most part.

If you saved a version before and after the change you can use Windows command line FC (file compare) to see whats different. It will compare the backup files and show you text results, you can also redirect to a file for ex

FC xxx.abt yyy.abt > FCresults.txt
