if you are near any of the chain auto parts stores they will typically test a battery for free.

A good high quality charger, condtioner,, desulfator would be nice. But I woudld imagine just seeing what happens with a regular charger would be good information. As mentioned, do it with battery installed and connect negative to body or engine. Don't want to bypass BMS. There is a place on inside above fender I believe. The thought has crossed my mind. What should be the best way to charge the battery? Take it out? Do it while connected? Havenāt changed a battery in a long time.
Sometimes the door chime will should off, like the battery is low. Never gave it much thought til you mentioned the battery charge.
sad but i think i would feel the same way. id ask the dealer what they would give you for it and then see what fords buy back / lemon law offers.Todays report:
Had to run a few errands. No codes / faults. Called my mom as thats what all good sons do! Dropped off the recycling, and hit the local gun shop. Driving home the the spinning wheel of Ive put up with this too long showed up.
āHey Iām right close to the dealership/service center!ā Strikes me. I pull in and get the service manager to come out and look at the shit box ranger. He has a tech take it in and an hour later.
Parts ordered for something ABS, $1200.00.
At this point I am so over it. Just fix this shit pile so I can off load it with a quickness!
Anyway, its an hour later and I get my keys.
The revolving wheel of F.U. Shows up while in the parking lot. I cannot even turn the wheel this time. I pull back up to the service bays and go in and tell them I canāt drive this bomb! The wheel wonāt turn!.
Service manager turns the key off.
And thank the holy Gods! It will not start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another mechanic comes out and checks the battery connections. Guess what, they have never checked the actual battery!
So he disconnected the battery and we make bullshit talk for about 20 minutes as I eye the lot for a lincoln for my loaner vehicle.
No damn Lincolnās on the lot!
Mechanic looks around and says, āhave you called ford yet to buy this thing back? In a whisper?ā
I said, āI will be!ā
Battery connected, ācodes clearedā!
I drive to wal mart a few miles down the road and codes a plenty show back up.

Iām really trying to give this particular dealership credit. I bought the truck in WV and the dealership is in Ohio near my GFs place. I stopped in unannounced and they pulled me in and had the truck about an hour.
After dealing with the public for 30 years. It is hard for me to trust anyone.
I just want this truck gone as soon as possible. I am at the point that I will take a hit on a trade in if I canāt find a decent beater.
Love Eric O, hell of a mechanic. Wish I could find one like him local. These kinda reminds me of a video from "The South Main Auto" YouTube channel. It was kinda long but there was I think Chevy that was popping up rando codes and other things. He showed the trouble shooting steps that he did and had to break out the wiring diagrams to finally trace it down to a corroded chassis ground. I'm not saying that's your issue. I'm just saying that these vehicles have gotten way more complicated nowadays. I was in IT for 20 years and it kinda reminded me of my old job when he broke out the diagrams. Good luck
Found the video of anyone is interested.
You do not need a lawyer for this. Follow Ford, follow the lemon law and donāt accept arbitration. Simple. No greedy lawyer needed.Todays report:

Since Iāve had it when ever it was cold, frost and or snow Iād get the forward collision sensor not working. quick minute on this forum or the owners manual shows its common for the sensor to get blocked.
Last few months, Iād get a pre collision warning that the system was down. Iād park the truck and few hours later it was fine.
About 2 weeks ago after getting gas, I got the same as above plus the terrain management was out. It was but the 4wd worked. Again, park a few hours and the light was gone and TM worked.
Oil change last Monday at the dealer and I mentioned it to them. Obvious answer was bring it in if it does it again.
Tuesday leaving work it lights up pre collision and TM is out again. I call and take it in Friday. Of course no lights on! Mechanic hooks it up and no codes. He and the service guy tells me, most these sensors run through the rear view mirror system? I can see the pre collision but the TM?
I leave and run into Loweās about a mile from the dealer.
I leave Loweās and hit the jackpot

I call the dealer and said I AM coming back now. he said pull it in and donāt shut it off. They spend another hour dicking with their computer / reader trying to figure it out. They turn all the codes off. And now the master mechanic comes out and drives it. All the above come back on.
He said and I and quote, ācould be the ECM, PCM, vision system and or the ABS. But we canāt just go replacing parts.ā Ugh is that not what the warranty is for.
Goes back Wednesday for him to spend some time with.
Crazy thing is the truck runs and drives fine. I do notice the steering is tight for a minute or 2 when I first drive.
I am really reasonable when it comes to service industry workers, as I am a nurse and paramedic. So I no the shit these guys have to deal with.
But this really leaves a bad taste with me. If this is all electronics, Iāve got a bad feeling its just going to continue.
Iām seriously considering getting rid of it and just grabbing a beater truck or SUV for the time being.
So maybe the most important question out of all this. If I had tuned this truck and this happened, would the dealer say it was my fault?
If I do tune it after it gets fixed and it happens again, will the tune be considered the issue? That is if I keep it?

I have a 2020 Lariat 4x4 and experienced the exact same problem. Took the dealer two times but finally determined PSCM was bad. They replaced and I have not had any problems since.Putting this here to get some traction
