I shouldn't have to tell y'all this....
But if you live in a house with a woman, that seat needs to be in the down position all the time.
God help you if it's not.
Just sayin'
But if I forget I don't have to hear that sarcastic seat slam at 1 am LOL

I do try to remember to lower it but sometimes I forget but my gf is great and never complains. Except the one night when she was really tired and didn’t notice it was up and almost fell into it. Luckily for me she caught herself mid stride, every now and then we have a good laugh about it.:giggle:

You just THINK she's laughing.
That's exactly what female revenge-plotting sounds like.

Well thats a double standard, when men go to the bathroom they have to make sure the seat is up. Oh but wait, we also have to make sure its down for the other output. So the woman are to lazy to look and close if its left up? ?

? Although I always make sure its lowered myself, I think thats just the standard. Its good practice to close them anyway.

Cats. Down, with the lid.

Besides, there's the whole fecal spray thing, too.

...I've had them since I had kids...got tired of slamming seats...
Funny story on slamming seats, when we were kids, my sister would always drop the seat. My dad got tired of that and every time she dropped the seat, she would have to raise it and lower it 10 times without dropping it, counting it out loud. I would always get a laugh out of that.
She has the soft close seats in her house now. ;)
I'll have to see if she remembers that.?

That's not always so easy....I guess that's why there's Depends. lol
I wouldn't trust wearing anything called depends.? I want the 'for sures'

At the advice of @KJRR (sorry I've been slacking I'm on vacation ?) the tailgate damper has been left out of the mods section. Now that I've converted many here we need to see what mods you've done to yours and drop ideas for future mods. I know @P. A. Schilke has a custom Ford damper and @BButah was lucky to get a carbon fiber one.

Here's my first damper mod velcro tie to keep it from binding behind the tailgate strap. My second is a blend of essential oils and special oils from a renowned Swiss Dr. which adds 50+ hp. More if you rub it in the right spots.? Maybe now @FoD will break down and get one seeing everyones mods.?

Gah! I have a sub-par Velcro strap, dang it, now I have to order yet another thing for the Ranger! =P

OK Dave I need your help.

I decided my damper needed a performance improvement so I tried your tip of rubbing it with essential oils in the right spot.

Now the damper is so stiff I can't close my tailgate.

What gives?

Sorry Dennis there's a new mod now since that last post. Try some 303 Graphene Nano Spray on it and it should lower much easier now and have a great shine to boot!?

If your damper stays stiff for more than 4 hrs call a mechanic .
