I’ve never seen this mentioned and I’ve wondered about it for a while lol
Is this supposed to be a cup holder? The angles are ridiculous.

In my previous 2 vehicles (Kia & Hyundai SUVs) those spots in the doors were labelled with a water bottle symbol and a warning not to put an open-top container there.

Do you know how much time it takes and how much these fake nails cost?
No I don't..... I prefer Original Equipment.. cut short, no polish and no "Hello Kitty" or "Rainbow Unicorn" decals.

All joking aside.....

I would like to see better options or use of that space. Leave it open with no finger for the cup holder. I'll decide what goes in there.

I like it as it is--would suck more for holding bottles if it didn't have the support

Not saying it can't still accommodate that task - just do it differently. Look at that storage cubby like you do your bed. It needs moveable dividers or tie downs for flashlights. Something.

NO - Not a dampener....
