If anyone cares, i emailed roush and they said 87 is fine to use with their tune. I understand why I should use premium and a turbo but at $5.25 a gallon I’m spending over $100 in gas a week only going to work 4 days.

$5.25 a gallon ? Damn I don’t blame you one bit. I paid $3.79 a gallon for Premium this morning and was bummed prices haven’t started to go down for winter yet. I guess I shouldn’t complain. I hope prices don’t go that high here I drive 70-80 miles round trip a day.

Where I’m at in Michigan they are $3.79-$3.97 for premium around where I live. Down in the cities I think I’ve seen it higher like $4.05 ish for premium.

$5.25 is brutal

I paid $4.29 at our local Costco. Chevron and other name-brand stations are just below or just over $5.

It's most expensive in California for a variety of reasons. The first is that we pay the highest state taxes. Add all the taxes up and it's over $1.21 per gallon. The second is that California requires its own special blends of fuel (to save the world ) and will not import gas from out of state unless it's an emergency. In addition, they will not allow new refineries to be built. When one goes down for repairs or some other reason, an immediate shortage is created and prices go up. California politicians and the people who vote for them are idiots.

I forgot to mention that much of our oil comes from the middle east as well.

it hasn’t always been this way. I’ve read that the Los Angeles oil fields are the third
largest in the USA.

Very weird country, this Cali-Fourn-Ea
Yes, California has become very progressive. The state government thinks it can save the world on its own and creates policies and bills that "feel good" and are many times punitive to the general public.

3.63 for 93 at Shell in Houston today… first tank after depleting the first fill from the dealer which I can only assume was cheapest they have. Huge difference even on the short drive between station and home.
